A great universal fit, used on a mongoose mountain bike to replace the one my 9 year old broke spinning the wheel around, sturdy and functioning as it should, easy to install. Only replaced one side and kept the other in the box just in case, not enough difference to notice from one side to the other. A good price for a part we needed.

My son succeeded in breaking one of his brake handles within the first 2 weeks of getting his new 24" bike. A quick search led me to this product and ~$10 later it was on its way to me. As someone who's mechanically minded and who's never changed brake handles before, it took me about 20 minutes to replace both brake handles with the new ones. A week has now passed and they're working great! They seem durable and a little better quality than those that came with the bike. Time will tell how long they last but I'm hopeful. At the cost, I'd definitely recommend them to others looking for a basic brake handle replacement. While my son's bike was 24", I'd wager they could be used for larger bikes as well but not smaller.

I was looking for a metal brake caliper set to replace an OEM plastic base with metal lever set that came on my son’s bike. This product was inexpensive enough I figured I’d give them a try and compare them to the set that came with his bike, which was composed of metal handles, but a hard plastic clamp. The oem brake handles of course broke at the plastic clamping portion during one of his ghost ride and crash the bike sessions he loves so much. The metal replacement ones have held up nicely so far. Installation was straightforward, but the cable barrel adjuster screw threads could be a bit more smooth as well as having a tighter fit. They’re a bit weak if extended too far for adjustments that you’re better off adjusting the cable instead which isn’t always preferred for minor tweaks to brake feel not to mention time required to make the adjustments. All in all, not bad considering the price paid.

My daughter dropped her bike and broke one of her brake handles. Didn’t think I would be able to replace it but it was easy and this was a great replacement.

They seem to be decently constructed, but they are definitely $10 levers. The lever adjusting screw to adjust the throw was so tight on one I could barely turn it, the one on the other lever was so loose I don't think it will ever hold adjustment.

So I Bought my daughter a bike and right away her breaks handle snapped but she loved the bike so much I couldn’t return it. I ordered these and they shipped really quick they honestly are a life saver and the quality is amazing and they work so much better than the ones it originally came with. The stop is way faster! I am defenitly replacing my other daughters bike to make sure we don’t have the same issues. Safety first!

These brakes weren't difficult to install and they work on my son's bike better than the ones that came on it. They are comfortable to use.
