As I've written about in some of my other reviews, I've been recovering (for the past 14 months) from adrenal fatigue and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) that resulted from a systemic Candida infection and leaky gut. Accordingly, I've spent these last 14 months researching adrenal fatigue/CFS/systemic Candida pretty aggressively. Ultimately, signs, such as hives erupting all over my body, started manifesting that made me realize I was in desperate need of detox. The toxins produced by Candida, namely ethanol (which the body converts into acetaldehyde) have detrimental effects on several systems of the body, including endocrine, nervous, and immune systems. So, I dutifully began a detox regime about two months ago. I experienced all the symptoms one would expect: the increased muscle aches, headaches, flu-like symptoms. But I was seeing very little in the way of improvement. And suffering quite a bit along the way. I read about glutathione and that it is a necessary antioxidant for cells, especially those of the liver, to detox the body. Any kind of stress, including illness or chronic infection, can significantly deplete the body's stores of glutathione; obviously, this would result in less energy and a decreased ability to remove toxic substances from the body. I immediately started taking NOW Foods Nac-Acetyl Cysteine 600mg, 250 Vcaps , because NAC is a precursor for glutathione in the body. However, I did not experience positive results until I was taking huge amounts of this stuff - roughly 9-10 capsules per day! I knew there had to be a better way. I found this product mentioned on some website I was reading about glutathione. I have a background in biology and biochemistry, so the idea of liposomal absorption made sense to me. In addition, the phospholipids that enclose the glutathione are all ones that our cells need anyway (and that I already supplement daily); so this product does double-duty for me. The product arrived quickly, and I immediately took a packet by dumping it in my mouth and chasing it with some cold water. Glutathione is a tripeptide rich in sulfur (which partly accounts for its terrific detoxification abilities), and, boy, can you ever smell/taste the "rotten egg" aroma. That being said, I've since started pouring the contents into a small glass of water, stirring it briefly, holding my nose, and chugging it. No fuss, no muss, and no sulfur-y smell or taste to deal with. I noticed a small improvement in how "toxic" I felt after that first dose, which I suppose makes sense considering how overridden with toxins my body is. Initially, I was taking two packets a day but started taking three, and that helps me even more. I feel almost normal. For someone suffering from a chronic illness, this is significant improvement. If this stuff was not so expensive, I'd take four a day. Because every cell needs glutathione and because I am so abjectly depleted, I in no way worry about taking too much. I take it about 30 minutes before each meal. If you have any type of chronic disease or illness, I encourage you to try this product. Sure, it's expensive, but it's so worth it! Read up on glutathione depletion and oxidative stress. I'm noticing that these are often at the root of many types of chronic disease. So anything you can do to help your body will surely aid your recovery that much more quickly. Recovery for CFS is measured in years, not months, but it IS possible, provided you supply your body with the tools it needs to repair itself. I'm so impressed with this product, I intend to try the company's vitamin C product next. UPDATE 11/9/11: Despite the expense of this product, I have been taking 4 a day. A few days ago, I decided to only take one, as I want to save money anywhere I can. Well, obviously this product is one that I cannot cut down on. I felt awful that day - brain fog, very toxic, dizziness. This stuff really makes a huge difference in detox. I've been taking an infrared sauna every day to also aid in detox. This product allows me to sit in the sauna for a longer period of time than I used to (30 mins vs. 15 mins) at a higher temperature. And I don't get sick afterwards as I used to do. This stuff is FANTASTIC! And I've gotten used to the taste. I have no trouble drinking this product in a glass of water. It's no big deal. UPDATE 5/10/12: Due to the fact that I can no longer buy this product at a discounted/bulk price of ~$50 per box (see Martin's review from 5/6/12), I'm going to make my own liposomal glutathione. (I already make my own liposomal Vitamin C, which yields great results.) So, if you're considering this product for its numerous health benefits but are cringing at the price tag, google "homemade liposomal glutathione." You'll find plenty of directions on how to make this stuff. It's really easy to do, and you'll save a bundle.

Best L-Gluthathione .... it makes it past stomach acid, at least on an empty stomach it does ... for any health maintenance or heatlh tweak. Grateful grateful for this brand. Much cheaper as an L-gluthathion I.V. push.

I heard about this supplement from a podcast that I listen to and I was intrigued when they said they felt steonger, were focused and energy level were up with no crash. So I decided to spend the money and try this product and I am not disappointed. I’ve used it now for over six months. I wanted to detox to get out anything in my body from eating poorly to sleeping poorly. This antioxidant appears to really work at the cellular level just based on a better texture of my skin on my face and my arms. My spin workouts feel great and I have more power during class. Also I am an accountant and I spend hours with focused attention on the computer and I have had minimal headaches and greater focus that lasts all day. i used to get really tired around two or 3 o’clock in the afternoon and that has subsided since taking this supplement. I feel like the Supplement is helping my body physically which is translating to help in my professional life as well. To me it’s worth every penny. I’ve tried the glutathione capsules and I do not feel any of the effects I describe above but when I use the liposomal glutathione there is a clear noticeable difference. Also I wanted to add a comment about the taste. The taste is very gross. But you can easily get around that. I put a small amount of juice and a shot glass about halfway full. Then I am deed the packet and it floats on top for a second then it stinks. Then I just shoot it and I don’t taste the nasty vitamin at all. To me the taste is not even an issue if I take it this way. The key is to not stirr in the supplement with the juice in the shot glass and or you will taste it.

Ok, I was a skeptic. I heard about this on TikTok- a “rich” client of a girl came in with glowing skin and this brand and supplement is what she took daily. It’s an investment, it is expensive. I take it in the morning - first thing- I squeeze it in a shot size glass of water and shoot it down. Yes, it smells absolutely horrible- like rotting eggs- don’t smell it- squeeze it in and shoot it down- follow by a sip of water and you shouldn’t taste it. Then wait 20 min and have your coffee and you’re good to go. It is definitely not for anyone who has sensitivities to food smells- I can eat pretty much anything so I knew I could handle it. The proof is in the photos - my skin is GLOWING. I do have more energy, but I was primarily taking for skin health. Definitely a fan- these photos were taken 3.5 months apart- taking this every morning. Left is before, right is after- no makeup no filter

I love this stuff just wish it was more cost effective so that I could use it on a more regular basis. Great product
