Using it in my Surveillance Camera, and so far, no worries. I switched out the one that came with the system for a bigger storage. Note: have at lest one 1T for each camera. It makes a little ticking sound, but not bad.

Model # matches the product listing.Passed a battery of tests.Then checked S.M.A.R.T. data and the power on/power cycle info.No hours, 1 power cycle... really?Did this drive sit in a warehouse for however many years?It certainly looks new, and there's that 5 year warranty.I cloned another 4TB drive to it and tested again... A-Okay.Anyway, if this is legit and the data was not reset, it's quite a deal.Just now bought another before they're gone.Crossed fingers hoping I'll get another "NEW" one.[update} Second drive also new and tests all completed A-okay.Ordered 2 more a little while ago.

ordered 1st drive failed and they did not honor warranty........ordered replacement ,i was then informed that the device is mailed from vendor and had to WAIT another 10 days ,but it never arrived , DO NOT BUY from this vendor

This is large enough to store my games library, fast enough for gaming and cheap enough not to break the bank. If you need mass storage on a budget this is it

Everyone gets into the super technicals and fine points in the reviews on these server type drives, but the bottom line is this is just about the cheapest $$ per TB in a decent size, and with 7200rpm speed. You're probably too cheap to go bigger so you're settling for this to back up all your stuff, and it'll be the right choice as this drive will probably last years without the abuse of being in a server (which they are built to handle)
