These brackets worked very well for me. These brackets have a unique upper flange that attaches directly to the table. Instead of following the instructions, I attached the brackets to the table legs and then attached the legs to the table using that upper flange. THEN, I measured and cut and attached the four apron pieces to fit between the legs that I had already attached. The end result was perfect and professional. Everything thing was straight and square and tight-fitting. I then used z clips and a biscuit cutter to attach the apron to the table in the conventional manner.

So my first table, and could not have done it without these. Once in place and tightened the legs are to secure. The way that I used these were I drilled holes into the corners of my legs, installed the studs into the legs using a little soap to ease them in, attached plates with the nuts,then connected each plate to apron sections and then squared apron to table then drilled holes into table and attached. Stood table frame up and with level did final tightening of studs to straighten. This 2 stud kit is the way to go as it gives more strength to the corners.

Materials used in this product are superb and installation was a breeze. Highly recommend this product.

We were putting together an all-wood counter height kitchen island table. The table kept wobbling no matter what brackets and reinforcements added. We finally used these kerf brackets and the issue was fixed. The bottom line: use this to save time if you don’t want wobbling table legs.

I’m an amateur cabinetmaker, but had no experience with this particular type of construction. I bought these because I’ve had a heavy table held together with kerf mounted metal corner braces like these for 35 years and it’s still rock solid. The directions that came with the set were pretty clear but didn’t say what size bit to use to drill the hole for the hanger bolt. I used a 1/4” bit and it seemed to work well, giving the bolt something to grip. The main difficulty I had was marking the aprons for the kerfs, getting it right, because it was my first time doing it. In the end I was pleasantly surprised that the table came out with almost perfectly square corners. Driving the bolts in with two machine nuts was ingenious- probably a standard method, but I’d never done it before. I’d buy this set again.

Did a rehab job on my kitchen table. Need to build new legs and old wood clamps did not work. So I bought these new brackets and they worked out perfectly. Easy to install no problems all the parts were there and table is complete.
