Missing part insert for burner.
The size is a perfect fit for my grandchildren. All the doors open and close with ease. Two items that make sound are one burner and the phone! Love the 5x7 photo frame. It was put together with ease. Step 2 reached out from customer support and answered all my questions. Extremely pleased with the purchase and support.

Excellent quality and easy to assemble. Highly recommend for your little future chef.
This is an AMAZING kitchen set and our daughter LOVES it. It was easy to assemble (although I would recommend using a drill to pre-drill the holes in the plastic before using the screws, it made it so much easier). The stickers are great quality printing and this kitchen it very sturdy and stable if you assemble it correctly. It comes with two place settings (plates, bowls, cups, and utensils) for a little table and a pot and pan that make different sound effect when placed on the battery powered burner (pot makes bubbling noise, and pan makes a sizzle noise). It also comes with a few play food items and even though we decided to buy an add on set it came with plenty to get playtime started. It has been several weeks since we gave this to our daughter and it is still very much a daily play item for her and especially when she has company. I cannot tell you how many pretend dinners she has cooked for us at this point. My only suggestion with this is to take your time with assembly and do it right. The instructions can be a bit confusing if you are trying to rush it. Overall I think this is one of my most successful gift purchases ever. Also, I think that this kitchen would be perfect for a boy or girl. It's not really geared toward either one and the little boys seem to love playing on it as much as the girls do.

Superb Kitchen - an answer to critics
I read hundreds of reviews for hundreds of kitchens, but I kept coming back to this one and I'm glad we picked it. We've only had it for a week, but it's amazing. Answers to some of the critiques I read: It's really hard to put together and takes forever - It took us two ladies 1.5 hours with 2 screwdrivers and a hammer and we both thought it was very simple. It Would be hard for someone to do alone though, but not impossible. There aren't holes for the screws - Yes, you want to have to make the holes yourself for stability. We found that using a hammer to get the screw started and to make the initial hole worked well. Some people used a drill, which obviously would work, but you don't want to strip the hole so we chose the hammer. No one's fingers got boinked. It was dusty - Yes, it came from a warehouse and it Was dusty, so we wiped it off. The stickers don't stick, or they stick too well - They stick like stickers, just put them down carefully and smooth out the edges. The fridge doesn't close well - That is legit, but I don't mind that you have to close it from the bottom because it stays closed then. Not a lot of food comes with it - If you can afford to buy your kid this kitchen, you can add a separate purchase of extra play food. There is a space between the cabinet doors - Yes, which makes it easier for his chubby little 3-year-old fingers to open them. Parts were missing - That is serious. In our case, all parts were accounted for. Things I like about it: The pet food area has been one of his favorite things. All the little extras, like the shopping bag and cloth are so fun for him. The deep sink allows him to wash all his dishes. The little cutting board has gone unnoticed by him, but I think it's adorable. It's big and charming looking. It's sturdy! The sound affects are a hoot (just the phone and the pot and pan when on the stove make noise). He loves seeing the picture and he loves taking his utensils down. In conclusion - this is a great plastic kids kitchen!

Great Kitchen. Worth it!
This was a perfect buy for us. I searched high and low for the best kitchen. My budget was $100.00 but after weighing the pros and cons of this one vs countless others, I decided it was worth the extra $40 and went ahead with the purchase. I'm so glad I did! I have two kids, five and one. I needed something tall enough for the oldest but not overly tall for the youngest. I also wanted something that made noise and something that was wide enough that they both could play at the same time. This was it! It came in two boxes and was easy enough to put together. We did have to drill holes for the screws ourselves, but I knew I would have to from reading previous reviews. I do find it funny that the instructions call for a simple screwdriver. That would never work, you need a drill, for sure. But, even before we drilled all the screws in, I put it together and let the kids play with it until dad got home with the tools. The only thing that was easy to detach was the sink, everything else stays together fairly well even without the screws. This set is great and the kids love when the pans bubbly and sizzle. Definitely worth the extra $40. And with the sturdiness of it, I think we are in for years of fun with this. Thanks Step2!

Very happy with this kitchen
We bought this kitchen for a one year old boy. I agonized over the purchase, since I was very drawn to the wooden kitchens. I read a ton of reviews and finally ended up with this one, and I think it was the right decision. The first part of the kitchen that really caught his attention was the burner that makes noise and lights up. None of the wooden ones have a feature like this, and once his attention was caught, he would stand at the burner and move stuff around up there and entertain himself while I cooked (we have ours in the actual kitchen). This is still how he gets engaged in the kitchen, we'll toggle the sound and put some food in the pot and he will come on over to help. Of all of his toys, this kitchen has kept him independently engaged the longest. The plastic is not heavy so I'm not worried it will crush him. He's able to open and close all the doors. I assembled the kitchen myself--I had an electric screwdriver from IKEA which made it a lot easier and faster; assembly wasn't too bad overall. I think the kitchen is cute and it accommodates a lot of toy food. Even his ten year old brother was interested in the kitchen for a while and he would bring me meals and pretend to be a server.

Me gusto mucho.
