Aquaphor Lip Repair Ointment is a lifesaver! My lips get super dry, especially in colder weather, and this ointment instantly soothes and moisturizes. It’s thick enough to protect my lips, but not sticky, and it lasts for hours. I love that it’s fragrance-free and gentle, so I can use it anytime, even under lipstick. After using it consistently, my lips feel soft, smooth, and healthy. Definitely a must-have for anyone with dry or chapped lips.

I’m rather tempted to add a photo to this review but honestly no one wants to see that… so I’ll just tell y’all. Last summer I received two high-quality, super pricy overnight lip treatments from Ipsy. One was a “lip butter” and the other was a “lip mask”. Fancy stuff. I applied the lip mask before bed for a few nights, looking forward to soft, luscious lips in the mornings. Instead, over the next few days, my lips completely dried out. So of course I thought I needed the lip butter to come to the rescue. But alas! The lip butter jacked up my lips to a dramatic level. Seriously, I think it gave me chemical burns. And in case anyone’s wondering, no, neither of these products were supposed to make my lips bigger. They weren’t fillers-in-a-tube. My top lip was puffy, red, and had spots that were so dry it felt like the skin was going to fall off in large chunks. Sorry, I know that’s gross, I just need y'all to understand. At this point, my boyfriend was so tired of seeing my tragic face that he bought me a tube of this Aquaphor and he reminded me to apply it every hour for literally like three weeks. But truly, after the first two hours I felt so much better already! My lips completely healed over time. It took a few weeks to get back to normal but they felt better with every passing day. Obviously I tossed out the fancy, dream-crushing products, and now I have about eight tubes of this Aquaphor laying around the house. I apply it every night and never, ever wake up to dry lips. It’s unscented (as far as I can tell) and it feels super rich and smooth on my lips. It feels luxurious! The packing is simple and no nonsense, so it’s not as exciting as a mask or a butter. But it also won’t ruin your life. Maybe my lips are becoming sensitive over time, idk. But every time I think I can use a new lipstick or balm and my lips inevitably revolt, I reach for this product and it works its wonders all over again. This stuff is so cheap, and works so well... I might cry if I keep thinking about it so I’ll end this here. This is a great product :)

I just decided to give this product a try because the two EOS lip balms I was using for my dry and chapped lips have been proven to be a failure. I would say it is a decent value and so far it is moisturizing my lips much better than what I was expecting. I applied this lip repair product as soon as I received it and immediately felt my lips decently smooth but not 100%. Let me explain: My lips feel less chopped and less dry but I still feel some dry skin in sections of my lips. Nevertheless, this product is doing a much better job in moisturizing my lips than the previous product I was using. The texture of this lip ointment is vaseline like but way, way less heavy than vaseline. It is not uncomfortable to wear but I still feel I have something on my lips. It is not sticky but just a little greasy, the right amount for the purpose and benefits of this product. This product is flavorless, scentless, and colorless. The first time I used it, I used it twice in the day and just pumped a small amount; you do not need to apply too much because a little goes kind of a long way. The other night I used it and left it overnight and thought my lips were going to be super smooth, but they were actually back to their normal chopped and dry condition. Therefore, I applied again this morning and feel my lips less dry but not completely smooth. Overall, If I do not find something better for my chapped and dry lips, I would definitely purchase this product again. I also think that depending how dry, cracked, and chapped your lips are, this product will give you some relieve but might not be 100%.
