Great to smooth frizzy and 3c/4a type curls. I've used this consistently for years.

Glatt Strait is a reverse-perm to straighten hair, and follows the same procedure as a curly perm. Apply the thick straighten-activation cream to shampooed hair and comb straight (in a curly perm, you would apply a runny activation lotion to curlers), allow processing time, rinse, and neutralize. As a precaution to avoid damaging my hair, I reduce the recommended processing time. Glatt Strait's straight perm is great at removing any kinks & frizzes from my mature hair, making it silky smooth.

Doesn't work good

Used as directed even conditioned longer but hair still really dry. Didn’t realize it comes in one use bag, product I used for long time had a jar and bottle so lasted for several treatments (I only straighten bangs)

I have curly, can be kinky at roots hair..this straightener definitely straightened it.. Felt very hard after, and for several weeks. Also lifts color, which most do.
