It is made of sturdy, all-metal materials which should be long-lasting and the bottom cup is very convenient. The drawbacks are: A. The top fill opening is very small and a miniature funnel is needed to avoid spillage. B. The grinding action is NOT adjustable. It gives you finely-ground results only. It suits my needs but may not be entirely suitable for those of others.

I love the design of these so much, they truly are beautiful and work well. I purchased two to use as salt and pepper grinders. Something told me I should do a lead test on them and when I tested with lead swabs, they indicated much higher than anything else I have ever tested so I do not feel comfortable that they are good safe. I will be returning both of them.

It was smaller than I imagined but it is well made and works great!
