Hanes Adult Beefy-T Long-Sleeve T-Shirt, Stone Green, Large

The first time I purchased this product was at a WalMart in North Dakota in the winter. I arrived at the airport unprepared for exactly how cold it would be, but I know how to layer up so I started looking for clothes to use as layers. My first impression of this was that it wasn't a long-sleeve t-shirt because of how thick it was, but for $10 I couldn't pass it up because the material was just right for a second layer (first layer being tighter against the skin and tucked into the pants to trap body heat). When I put it on at first it seemed a bit tight and the sleeves long (I purchased a Large size because my chest and shoulders are broad for my height). After wash & wear, however, this shirt quickly felt comfy and ended up being the perfect addition to my cold-weather layering system. The material is light, breathable and durable enough to withstand working in the Bakken. 1. A little tight in the chest at first, but wears well with wash/use 2. Light, breathable, and thick, durable material 3. Withstands heavy work, but also great for just lounging around I highly recommend this shirt to everyone every chance I get, especially now that it's winter again! Note: I base my reviews on a) the functionality of all parts of the product based on its manufacturer intended use [not what I want or expect it to be able to do], and b) the usefulness of the product for my intended use [which I tend to base off the manufacturer intended use].

A good quality heavy long sleeve shirt for winter wear. The only thing I would change would be to have the sleeve cuff openings a bit larger so the cuff isn't tight around the wrist,o especially if you wear a watch.

It's well made, fits me just right, and I like the unique light green color that I ordered. I received the size I ordered (labeled on the garment as L/G/G). For the benefit of readers I spread the garment out flat on our dining room table and made some measurements of the garment that I received: Shoulder seam to end of sleeve: 25 3/8" Shortest distance between top of shoulder seams: 21 3/4" Highest point of neck down to bottom: 29 1/2" Width across bottom: 22 3/4" This was the standard marketing men's size L for t-shirts about 20 years ago, before the worldwide 'overweight epidemic'. Nowadays, almost all men's t-shirts with the above dimensions are labeled as M. So I was taking a chance in hoping that Hanes would retain the old sizing standard. Glad I did. Moreover its unique color (a light shade of green) matched the ad's photo image quite well. I've never seen this color available in brick-and-mortar retail stores. I don't like loud colors in my clothing. Moreover, I like to project my interest in the outdoors. So this particular color really fit the bill for me. It makes a great match with either black or blue jeans, and especially with khaki pants. I've rounded my rating to 5 stars, but my actual rating is 4.5 because the shirt doesn't included one chest pocket, which I prefer.

I have purchased several of these shirts, same size, and yet one will run larger than another. I'm going to try and shrink it. The "beefiness" is also not consistant. The price is right.

I am perfectly happy that this Beefy-T isn’t really beefy. My experiences said it’s lightweight and very soft. I have two of these. I am buying a third. I have an extremely hard time getting to sleep and physical comfort is at the top of the list of things I need to get there. One has held up perfectly, while the other has unraveling seems in exactly the same place and manner under both arms. See the photo. Have also bought two long sleeve tees from another company for. They are also extremely comfortable but cost $40 apiece. I’ll stick with Haynes.

I really like the thickness and the Stonewashed Green color. The shirt has a nice cuff on the sleeve. I am very pleased with my purchase.
