Old Shanghai Women's Silk Kimono Long Robe - Handpainted, Cherry Blossom Navy

This robe is silk as stated in the description with beautiful cherry blossoms painted on it. The quality of the artwork is gorgeous, clean and crisp.I am 5'8" and wear a size 12-14 and this robe fits me perfectly. The length is a few inches above my ankles and the sleeves are mid-way between my elbow and wrist. It is sewn with French seams, which is standard for silk garments. For the price, this robe is great quality and a really good value. I'd definitely buy again.

This was a Christmas gift from my husband. It's a tad on the small side, but other than that this is a fantastic robe. It's very comfortable, and I feel gorgeous wearing it. And the silk is so soft and luxurious... Did I mention it was comfortable?

This robe - I got it in the dark blue cherry blossom - is a lovely color, but the fabric is not what I expected; I was anticipating the type of silk that's a touch less shiny and while smooth has a bit of drag as you run a finger across it. This is a standard satin weave, so it is very slippery and no matter how tightly I tie the belt it slides open after perhaps five minutes of actual wearing. I have a long torso and a high waist, so the belt also wants to slide upwards over my tummy until it's over my ribcage and just under my chest; since I have a bit of a tummy, this is rather unflattering, unfortunately. It's lightweight, cool, and comfortable, but without being able to keep it closed I can't justify keeping it, especially at this price.

very poor quality...tears easily. The seams are barely sewn in.....just touch it and it tears.

This is a beautiful, silk robe. I ordered the royal blue; it was bright with lovely, delicate embroidery.This was a gift and my friend loved it! My only suggestion is that the company make the robe a little bigger as it can only be ordered in one size and will not fit "larger" woman.

It is gorgeous. The first one had a hole, but it was replaced and my first purchase was re-credited quickly. I bought it as a gift for my small daughter-in-law. As it fit her perfectly, I know that the one size won't fit me.

it does not wrap around my body well and I like a tiny bit more coverage. Also, Pockets would be nice.

My wife is required to wear a kimono at the Japanese restaurant where she works. She says she is much cooler wearing the Old Shanghai silk kimono's than the nylon kimono's in the restaurant environment. Also the art work on the kimono is very appealing to look at.
