Addis Plastic Family Kitchen Utility Bin, 50 Litre, New Black with Silver Pedal

This is an all plastic 50L pedal bin. When it arrives there's no assembly required, just unpack and it's ready to go. We got this for our kitchen as our 6 month old pup has started stealing from our previous bin and he has made far too much mess. Thr plastic is quite thin and has a little bit of flex but is surprisingly tough and durable. We've nudged it round the kitchen or had the door bump into it several times and had no breaks or cracks. The pedal will open the bin 3/4 of the way, but you can lift the lid to have it open to a full 90 degrees straight up. The operation is smooth and easy and not too noisy. It does depend how quickly you stamp or release the pedal though. Best of all our 6 month sprocker puppy and 2 year old toddler have not managed to get into it. Size wise this fits most common bin bags and will easily fit under a kitchen worktop or side of white goods. Good quality, excellent value. Highly recommended. Thank you for reading my review. I am getting on well with this bin and I appreciate how it has the option to open it wide and leave it open whilst nearby and can close it when not in use and use the pedal for quick access. It's large enough for your average 50l bin bags from the supermarket's. I'd give this bin a solid 9/10. It lost a point due to, it would be better if the pedal opened it a bit wider. Seems easy enough to clean but as it's new I've not actually attempted this just yet.

Good and simple bin for the kitchen. Not expensive, considering buying another to separate rubbish. Good amount of rubbish fits into it. Easy to clean. The lid does pop off but it doesn't disturb me

Good side and peddle function works well. The design makes removing the bag from the bin much easier than my previous bin. Easy to clean good value and fast delivery.

A solid, good-sized bin that’s ideal for a family kitchen. The 50-litre capacity is generous, the pedal works smoothly, and the lid opens easily without having to touch it. It feels sturdy, is easy to clean, and looks smart enough to keep out on display. Good quality for the price and does the job well. Replaced a metal bin that was scratched and damaged due to dropping.

Good points: nice quality plastics and a streamlined, quality look. Having the pedal operation is good. Make in UK! Bad points: sadly it just slides around the floor when you press the pedal to open. This means it’s always jammed up at an angle against our units when using. Needs a rubber strip on the base or more weight. Does not seem well shaped considering it’s 50 litres. Does not seem very big compared to our previous Addis bin with a manual flip lid. There are lots of curves and angles inside. Ours also clicks or catches every time you press the pedal to open. It’s as if it’s catching on something. Oh yea, also the lid detaches from the fixing super easy too so you can already tell this will be a constant annoyance every time you empty the bin and take the bag out. Expected better from this brand. Cannot return for free either so now stuck with it. Teach me to buy before checking in store!

This bin is a good size and fits the white drawstring bin bags from Costco perfectly, which is exactly what we needed. It’s lightweight and does the job, but it does feel a bit on the cheaper side. The lid has a tendency to pop off occasionally, but it’s nothing major. For the price, it’s totally fine but you get what you pay for. If you’re after a basic, functional bin that fits standard large bin bags, this does the trick!

Tengo una cocina pequeña y me resistía a poner más "trastos" por medio, pero necesitaba un contenedor más para los envases a reciclar. Este es muy ligero de manera que lo puedo mover para poner ropa en la lavadora, y es exactamente del color de la pared por lo que no queda sobrecargado. Aunque solo sea un contender de basura de plástico, el diseño es todo lo elegante que puede ser.

Der Mülleimer ist toll. Aber wie einer meiner vorredner öffnet er sich beim betätigen des Pedals nur Dreiviertel, aber man kann ihn dann Manuell vollständig öffnen was überhaupt kein problem ist. Und noch eins : versucht nicht den Müll rein zupressen da macht er dicke Backen und schließt dadurch nicht richtig. 5 Sterne.
