Genuine Bavarian Organic Pumpernickel bread 17.6 oz (6 packages per case)

This bread is exquisite.... very dense, chewy, and when toasted the flavors blossom... i use it for savory sandwiches and even nut butter with fruit (or preserves).... This bread staves off hunger... I always keep it on hand.

This bread is pre-cut, so you just separate it carefully because they do stick together. I use it for avocado toast. They are good straight out of the fridge, but even better toasted. At first I thought I tasted fig, but I’ve discovered by looking at the ingredients that I’m tasting sourdough. I am living with an under functioning thyroid and I read an article from an endocrinologist I follow that pumpernickel is good bread for people with that condition. When you purchase it, there are more than one included. It says you don’t need to refrigerate til opened, but because I live in Lahaina, I didn’t test that, but put them in the freezer.

This was recommend as on plan for THM ~ it is not what I expected at all! I don’t like it but it’s not returnable of course. I know it’s healthy and I recommended toasting it a bit as it does help!

The admonition to separate slices with a knife does not work for me with the loaf I bought. I am not a 'verified customer' as I purchased from another retailer (well respected retailer). The price was a little more, but comparable, and only a one item purchase of it was necessary I love the taste of this product, though it is a crumbly mess and I can only pick apart a few small pieces as a time and these pieces aren't enough to spread a soft cheese, jam; or even dip, I would love to toast this product, but sadly I cannot even pull enough of a slice - not even 1/4 of a slice - to lay it in a toaster oven. I have done this 'trick', though;I put a few small (very small indeed) pieces on a sheet pan and put into a oven at a low setting until it gets hard enough to use without crumbling again. Alas, I would love to buy, buy and buy more of this product, this; but I don't think in good conscious, that I can. Sigh! Let me think about it.

I’d been eating Mestemacher for years and happy with it. But then I tried this brand and will never go back. It is next level! Great taste, nice chewy consistency, and quality ingredients.

High fiber, dense, thinly sliced, tasty. 2 slices a day keep me feeling full. Helps me curb my hunger. Love it. Tons of prebiotics. Wish I lived next to the maker so I can buy directly.

This is a great bread if you like to chew. The best I could do with it was a grilled cheese with extra sharp cheddar. It was OK. People who love this bread love it because its so healthy with all the whole grains and ridiculous amounts of fiber. But I just couldn't deal, so I made beer with it. The beer was awesome!

This is good bread. There was a packaging issue on my last order, but the seller gave me a full refund.
