Gothic horror for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game
This adventure pack is the second "module" for the Rise of the Runelords base set. You It comes with 110 cards featuring new villains, henchmen, monsters, items, weapons, spells, blessings, armor, allies, and loot. This particular adventure deck has a gothic horror feel, akin to the Ravenloft setting in Dungeons and Dragons. That theme is further developed in the difficulty, especially in one of the adventures in particular, where players will run up against a frustratingly challenging foe. The scenario proved nearly impossible for my solo game using Valeros the fighter, and my progress nearly ground to a screeching halt. It was only by fudging the rules (allowed for in the rulebook, especially for solo players) a bit that I managed to get past the villain who otherwise spelled certain, unavoidable death.Overall this is a fun addition to the base game, but I am glad to be over the gothic horror theme of this deck and moving on to the inbred ogres of Adventure Deck 3.

Very good game, poor print quality
This is an expansion to the Pathfinder Adventure car game. The game itself is very distinctive, something you will love or hate. Anyone will need the core game to play, of course, so you already know whether you like this game system. I have enjoyed it quite a bit so far (the first 4 decks). The main problem is with the cards themselves. Cards manufactured in China are very inconsistent in color. It's obvious from the card back which expansion many cards came from.. Paizo has since switched to an American printer, but these new American cards are 1 millimeter shorter than the Chinese cards. In terms of gameplay, these missions are not much more difficult than those in the basic game. Don't let this put you off. The vilains do get tougher in decks to come.

Much like any of the other PACG decks that you can ...
Much like any of the other PACG decks that you can order, the packaging looks clean, cards look good and it's a fun game. My biggest complaint (which isn't that big of one) is that Amazon doesn't include the promo cards that you get if you order from paizo.com or if you get it from your local friendly game store.Something for you meticulous people to watch out for is that there was two different printing locations for these cards, so sometimes you may get 1 version, sometimes the other. This is long been discussed at Paizo.com and I know it's being worked on for the next set.If you like Pathfinder and tabletop games, but want a card game that everyone can participate in, PACG is right up your alley.

Pathfinder and Paizo does not disappoint!
PRO-Follows plot of the first deck-Easy to understand card game-Play with a team of 2-5, solo can be done but it is boring-Does not require a GM-Encourages teamwork-Paizo will errata cards and show you on their site-Cards make reference to things not yet implemented but this means expansions are well thought out-Bosses still a challenge-Great new abilities and monsters!CON-Requires core set to play-Lots of cards make references to things not implemented (e.g. mental/poison attacks)CONCLUSIONGreat purchase! I have played D&D since 2nd edition and MTG since the early 90s. This is a well thought out and balanced game. Naturally, this is deck 2 of 6 so there's things not yet complete. The stages do get harder as time goes on.Must have for any Pathfinder fan.

Must have, any way you get it.
Great campaign if you are a fan of Pathfinder. You can order a subscription from the Paizo site with a discount that makes them only slightly more expensive then you get from Amazon, allowing you to get each new deck when it comes out, but you do get 'promotional cards' with the subscription. Any way you get it, the game just isn't complete without the additional decks, they are when the game really starts to be fun.

Makes identifying new cards easy, for better or worse
Card backing color is slightly darker colored compared to the base set and expansion 1. Makes identifying new cards easy, for better or worse.
