Great Duck house. Ducks love it!
I have three Indian Runner Ducks and so I bought the small one since it holds up to 25 pounds. Easy to put together. Yes, it had a few chips but that's normal. There was no major damage. I picked this house because of three reasons: the top opens up for easily egg collection, it had a small window which I can open for air flow and close if to cold, and the floor comes up in two pieces for easy cleaning. Because the floor is like a privacy fence lets good air flow its great during the summer. My ducks can stand really cold weather, they swim in the winter so it works great because ducks need air flow since they build up a lot of moisture but you wouldnt leave any other kind of pet out during the winter because they won't still warm enough. Came with door flap but I don't use it.

Good Looking and Easy to Assemble
Very happy with our purchase. Probably only took about 30 mins or so to put together. Instructions are basic but so is the assembly. Seemed well packaged and ours had no damage. Although the wood is thin it does look nice. However, the thin wood means it is much easier to move around, even one person could push it around due to the easy slide feet at the bottom. As others have said, warmth can be improved by adding sheet insulation you can buy at your local hardware store. Regardless, the only gaps in the wood is the slats in the floor, which is by design. The sides and roof appear to seal nicely. Plus you can't beat the window, which is the main reason we selected this one over similar models. The window allows us to see if the dog is in the dog house without actually disturbing her. Win win.

Outdoor Dog house
Was looking for insulated outdoor dog houses. I Ordered 2 because your add stated they were insulated. This dog house is NOT insulated and is made of cheap materials. We had to insulate it ourselves. A quarter inch of lightweight plywood is not insulation. This dog house would be fine in a warmer climate. We live 7000 above sea level & it’s gets below freezing here. We’re keeping them n having to insulate properly and adding a pet heating pad for additional warmth. The roof was the only thing built correctly. Not worth $250.

Depends on use
We are using this in our basement area with a kennel for litters of puppies for them to have a designated place to sleep. The wood isn’t super thick and I don’t s e how it would last long outside but it works well for the way we need to use it. Size is good for a litter of labs up to 8 weeks old. Assembly was pretty easy.

Not as described
I questioned the insulated description but it was priced high as expected for an insulated dog house. It is not insulated. The floor is wood slats - therefore it has gaps every 2 inches across the bottom. Will need a mat on the bottom to keep cold air and bugs from coming in through the bottom. It does have roofing material - that would be the only “weather resistance” part of the house. The house itself is fine - just not insulated or weather resistant. Quality wise it’s okay - not great, not super cheap

You can reverse the front, but you give up the floor
I bought this to hide my pool filter. When I asked if the house can be built with the front reversed so that the door was on the left, I was told no even though I specified that I wasn’t using the floor. The answer is absolutely yes it can. The inside will show on the outside and you give up use of the floor, but it is incredibly easy to turn the front around and secure it to the rest of the house. The inside looks pretty good as the front but it doesn’t matter to me because that’s the part that will face the pool. The roof is installed the same either way and will protect my equipment and serve as a table next to my pool ( it’s semi in-ground so the heights match beautifully). The hinged roof gives much needed access to the equipment and the little window is great for running the electric. For those who have dogs, it is a pretty sturdy house. My dog was 90 lbs and would not have fit even though I bought the large. It’s a cute house but I would worry about the heat in summer. If you have fresh cool water and maybe a portable fan, your smaller fur baby should be quite happy.

Definitely not recommended
I wanted to find the perfect little home for my dog and since this one looked sturdy and looked like it would last .. but I was totally wrong I should had gone with the igloo home for her .. I’m so disappointed in this product I purchased it in April and this is the result of the house after a month of her being there it broke easily and now I have to trash it and buy her another one I tried to get in contact and ask fir a refund but no one was of any help... I don’t recommend for anyone to buy this home specially if it’s going to house a medium to large dog ..

Does not hold up well for the price
This house has not moved since we put it together earlier this year. My husband (who works in construction) warned me when he assembled it that it was very cheap and wasn't going to hold up. I just went to move it for the first time and the entire house fell apart when we moved it down 2 stairs. There were 2 of us lifting it so it barely hit the stair and the bottom completely fell apart which caused the entire front to fall off. Again, my husband who is in construction put this together and for it to fall apart the first time it is moved is rediculous. This is so poorly made for the price. Not sturdy at all.
