Great for beginner to intermediate olayers

Update: 1 year later. I can play 90% of the songs on sight reading (yes sight reading - true I've had the book for a year, but I haven't opened it in 10 months since last Christmas until today). The rest are within my capabilities with a little practice. Only complaint: the music for "I came upon a midnight clear" is wrong. It's a different song entirely. I've heard it, but I can't place the name. Original review: Great book. Has almost every song I wanted. Probably a good book for a beginner to intermediate player. I am a beginner and was able to play about a third of the songs on sight reading, and with some practice will do well with another third. There are a few songs that are far enough above my skill level that I haven't attempted them any more beyond the first try. BUT I see this as a good thing. Room to grow. Maybe by next year I will be ready for them. I've only found one negative to this book. I also bought the matching book for Alto saxaphone for my son, because we had hoped to play together (weird combo I know lol). Unfortunately they are not keyed to work together. Maybe it's because it's winds and strings, and 2 string books or 2 wind books would have worked together. I didn't take away a star because it was my own mistake. The listing never claimed they were keyed to be played together. Very happy with this book.

This is a great book! The songs are arranged nicely and easy to play. Beginners should be able to follow several of the simpler songs. I am at the intermediate level and find this book easy to follow. Highly recommended!

These songs are easy to learn and ply for a novice to intermediate player. My kid loves to play them at Christmas.

Great songs with most easy to play scales. No lyrics or chords.

My twin granddaughters just lit up when they opened this Christmas gift. The book is chock full of a great variety of Christmas songs --a few sacred traditional but far more contemporary pop culture Christmas repertoire. It really suits every taste. It will really entertain kids in a good way!

I'm a beginner violinists and it was great with the beginner and intermediate of the same song. It was fun trying some of the fancy stuff in the intermediate version of the same song

I bought this for my son. He has been teaching himself and enjoys this book.

Wer sich frische Weihnachtsmusik erhofft, ohne amerikanischen Einschlag, wird mit diesem Heft leider enttäuscht. Alle Titel sind englisch abgedruckt. Wenn also für die deutschen Klassiker nicht schon die englischen Titel bekannt sind, könnte es den Aha-Moment gelegentlich erst beim Anspielen geben.
