Speakman CPT-1000-UNI-MB Neo Universal Shower Valve Trim for Stylish Bathroom Décor, Matte Black

We are updating our showers and I wanted to upgrade to high pressure Speakman shower heads. They come highly recommended from the fixture company. With that upgrade, I wanted a clean modern look of the shower handle. This handle is both gorgeous and easy to install.

I live in Costa Rica and purchased 2 of these trims which need to be delivered via courier. I also purchased the recommended Delta valves for the installation. The Delta valves arrived without the necessary cartridge that connects the two pieces. I contacted both Delta and Speakman to find out what cartridge I needed. Delta was unhelpful and not easy to deal with. Even the local dealer here in CR. Speakman however, and their agent Hannah, were incredibly helpful and responsive. It became clear that it was Delta who needed to assist me but they continued to be useless. Hannah however, did not give up and was finally able to track down through their technical team the model number of the part i needed. I can’t recommend them and their service enough! The Cartridge required is Delta #RP46074

This managed to fit my very old shower, such an upgrade. The only down side is that it doesn’t have a stop on the hot side and will keep going around.

Decent quality but DEFINITELY not UNIVERSAL. That is a bit of a stretch. I'm still trying to crack the code to get this thing to work and I'm proficient in construction.

Ordered this on eBay but wanted to leave a review here. I got this to replace a chrome Kohler on a house I bought in 2021. Item said it worked for a Kohler so figured it would work. It didn't work when using the Kohler instructions/items though, because the screws were too long. But I was able to use 4 short screws from one of the different brand packages that also came with the order, and was able to get it to work that way. Looks great and works great.
