Smart Idea Done Simply, but...
... it takes some practice and adjustment to fully utilize it. It does connect together well and I can reach all angles of my gutters from the ground. That said, once everything is locked down and ready to go, the blower it self is upside down, and I often have to maneuver it near my head. I do wear ear protection and I strongly recommend it. Because the head is turned to the side to blow out a gutter, it does like to unwind itself from the blower, especially when hitting the turbo button. Others have noted this and modified the unit, but I found that if I just wait until I have the head in the gutter before turning the blower on and removing it only after turning it off, everything will remain nice and tight. A little awkward at times, but whenever you put a high volume exhaust at the end of a long pipe, it's gonna be bloody awkward! That said, it does do a nice job and it means I have to go up on the roof less often than I used to, which Sweetie likes very much. Highly recommend!

Connecting two kits together (by Archimedes' ghost)
Great product both the blower and this extension kit. Works great for blowing off 1 story gutters. I am addressing the idea of connecting two extension kits (8') together to make a 16' capable of blowing a 2 story gutter. Yes it works. Manufacturer does not recommend this and the reason is if you go non-vertical then the tube will bend and while I will not try to give you something in arc radians I will say it bends like a fly-rod with a decent sized steelhead on-hook. But it does not break if you are careful. So some of you are thinking "can I use this to blow-off a roof from the ground?" - my answer is 'no' because you will find at an angle off-vertical that it bends too much but also because even if you manage that by say laying it on the roof and rolling it along what happens is, and this is a little Wiley Coyote, the leaves will just blow to the other pitch and you will be playing ping pong with yourself. If you could suck, it might be a different answer. As a PSA to all you elderly out there that are trying to avoid getting up on a roof two or three times a year, do the old trick of getting a 30' extension pole from home schleppo with a push broom thread on the end and just "pull-sweep" the roof off. That or send your kids up but only if you are looking for a quick divorce with loss of custody (joke).

EGO Gutter Cleaner
I'm not a typically high rater. To get five stars, you have to do something to knock my socks off. 4 stars means GOOD. I had already investing in a competitor's blower and gutter cleaning system when I picked up an EGO blower fairly cheap. I already had a EGO lawn mower so I had batteries and chargers. The blower was definitely more powerful than the corded unit I had. After messing around dragging cords around I thought I would try the EGO Gutter system. In general, I do like the EGO products. Nothing special about the gutter system; a bunch of ABS type plastic pipes that 'screw' together and attach to a blower adapter, much like my previous system. The pipes are definitely bigger that the ones I already have and they aren't going to be interchangeable. My original unit has a rotating 'cuff' attachment at the point of connection to the blower so you can easily change the direction of the top curved blower. The EGO system does not. In their case, they have a 'pseudo' (plastic indentations) pin locking system at the top that you can adjust the top blowers with. The original unit would occasionally disconnect as I was trying to rotate the correct blowing direction. The EGO is a little harder to pull down and adjust, but it won't disconnect either. Not sure which system I like better, yet. With the original system, I did have to replace a couple of the pipes when they broke at the connector. I'm not sure how EGO will standup for durability. The EGO blower is a definitely more powerful blower and therefore did a little better job than the original. I do have to wear goggles to prevent flying debris with either system and take a shower afterwards! They both got the job done, but I'm liking not having to deal with extension cords!! The EGO is a GOOD product and so far no significant faults.

This is the best thing that's happened in a while...
I had a Ryobi blower and the battery seriously lasted 5 minutes. It was a nightmare. I received this yesterday and I can't even discharge the battery if I try. I went all over my property and did a year's worth of blowing, and I was so pleased with this blower. The power is amazing, the size is perfect, the weight is not light but it's all in the battery and even for me, a 5'3" petite woman, it was manageable. Hands-down, it's worth the extra weight to have a better battery and more power. WOW. I can't even explain how great this blower is, you would have to try it for yourself but I am confident that if people saw me with it, they would likely feel quite inadequate with just about any other blower. It's really THAT powerful. After my struggles with the cheap Ryobi blower, I was very apprehensive about getting another cordless blower - but then I realized, previously, I had bought the cheapest, worst blower available without doing any research. Now, I have probably overcompensated and got a super-powered blower that may not be necessary but I sure enjoy using it - it makes the job easy. AN UPDATE It's been a few months since I got this and I am still impressed with the power and battery efficiency. I do not at all regret going on the over-powered side for this item. I use it at least twice a week and I am able to quickly clear areas of leaves and debris. It's so powerful I can blow gravel back into plant beds. The design is great. I don't really use the variable power knob, I just squeeze the trigger, but I love how you can get a little or a lot of power with the trigger. I also like the power boost, it's easy to access during use, and it gives you a nice boost when needed. The battery charges quickly considering how much time you get out of a full charge. I am very pleased.

Powerful and Good Battery Life...
The EGO Power+ LB5804 580CFM Blower is an awesome blower and I am glad that I purchased it. It is so powerful that you don't have to use it on its most powerful setting. If there is a tough spot, just press the Turbo button and and its gone. Since you don't have to use the powerful setting all the time, your battery life will be extended greatly. In a great video I watched, a man compared at least a dozen comparable units, side-by-side, and the EGO 580CFM had the most power and the best battery life. The first time that I used it I found myself using more power than I needed and still got 35 minutes out of it. That allowed me enough time to remove all leaves from around my house. Also, it comes with two nozzles, one focused, and one which spreads the air out a little bit for blowing a flat surface such as a porch or garage floor, so you really don't have to purchase additional nozzles. I only wish that the unit was a little shorter. In one online video review it showed a man whom was able to adjust the length by turning the tube, pushing it in, and then turning the tube, but mine does not have this function. The length is not a problem at all except when I am between the house and the shrubs, things get pretty tight with a long tube and a nozzle. The corded blower that I had been using before was from off of my Craftsman Shopvac, and I could replace the tube with just a nozzle, making the total length about 18". That was great except that I had to deal with a cord. For tight situations, you can reduce the length of the EGO by 4" by removing the nozzle from the tube. I would be reluctant to try to use it with the tube removed because the tube serves as a reduction tube putting back pressure on the motor and creating a more focused and powerful flow. Without the tube and the engineered backpressure, I would be afraid that the motor may over-rev which could cause damage. Regarding weight, it is not bad so I do not feel a need to get an optional shoulder strap. Perhaps it would be nice if you have a long driveway to clear. Overall it is a great blower, along with the rest of the EGO line of products which you will now have a battery and charger for. Go for it!

very convenient tool
works well with the blower to clean out gutter. Only negative feature, is that after using it a while on full power the curved piece will start to unscrew.

The reviews are pretty much true
When giving my rating i wasn't too sure what thickness means as related to this item but i gave it a 4 star for that anyway..In all fairness i have used my Ego just twice now...If it holds up and next year it preforms as well i will be ecstatic...I say that mostly because of the price..Yes its expensive but everything i buy i want to buy the best and just like the old saying...You get what you pay for..Lets hope its true for the Ego Leaf Blower..My thoughts so far is that this thing is awesome...Its probably not as light weight as you would think without a gas engine..The battery is very large and has some weight to it but its still lighter than the gas engine leaf blowers i have had..I was skeptical when i purchased the Ego because i wasn't sure it would do the job as my gas blower but i was wrong..It actually preformed better..I have about a half acre of property but i also have 5 very large oak trees i clean up after that equates to anywhere from 75 to 100 bags of leaves a year...My first use of the blower i didn't run the battery out and it didn't slow down a bit..and thats true with my second use too..It cleaned my property very well and efficiently...When i used my gas powered blower it is always hard to start and once you shut it down it was pretty much no restarting it till the next day..just getting the thing started wears you out and the energy used in that chore took away the energy i needed for the leaves..So this push the button and go with the Ego is very much welcomed..It seemed with my gas powered blower it's a chore making my little leaf piles around the yard but with the Ego it isn't like that..The lighter weight of the blower makes it an easier task making those piles..So that part in itself was a surprise for sure..One thing i didn't expect was when i recharged the battery, the charger makes a buzz noise..not really loud but noticeable which keeps girlfriend a bit on edge with leaving it unattended..It says it shuts off automatically and it does..but still has her a bit on edge...I am happy with the amount of time it recharges the battery to full but i didn't need to untill the job was finished...Will say one more thing about the Ego..if your thinking about buying an extra battery and keeping it on hand ?? Well the batteries are very expensive..But so far the Ego hasn't failed me in keeping the charge up enough to do the whole yard...

Great product, but with a word of warning...
Love all my EGO power products, but this item needs to have a caveat shared for potential buyers. Be aware that when in use, and blowing debris from roof gutters, the air pressure at the nozzle will make it quite difficult to hold in place. The blower is enough of a challenge to hang onto due to its own heft, making it a challenge to keep the business end of the attachment aligned with the gutter to get the job done.
