Booms Fishing G1 Fish Gripper Grip and Hold Fish with Tight Grip Largest Model Built-in Scale

I had never used a boga grip prior to this knock off tool. So far this thing rocks and I wish I'd have got one sooner. For the price, if it lasts six months I'll buy another. I fish saltwater and I wash my equipment daily. I'll update this review accordingly after a few months. The scale feature is mostly useless but not a concern to me.

Used for 4 yrs in salt water no problem

I want to save my hand from the sharp red snapper teeths and scales. This works great. Doesn't hurt the fish, no lip puncture. It allow you to lift the fish to boat take out hook and pop bubble without ever touching the fish.One down side... the scale broke after first use. It sticky sliding up and down.For the price and intended use GET IT. For Scale to weight the fish... forget it.

Update 7/2024: I am still using these grips and they function as new. I don't know if the weight scale is the most accurate, but it’s good enough for me. I have used these grips at least twice a month fishing exclusively in saltwater. I rinse them when I get home and spray some salt away into the spring area when I get home.I was about to spend a lot of money on boga grips, but I decided to try these first. I hesitated because half of the stuff I buy from Amazon is a poor quality, cheap imitation of a trusted product. Well, these are not that! The scale is accurate, and the grips handled a good day of fishing and never slipped. They were comfortable to hold and easy to use. I was impressed with these grips.

When the clamp clamps onto the fish's mouth it doesn't have a lot of strength and so a larger fish will shake right out of it.
