The Nautical appearance of this humidor looks nice on my shelf, the humidor itself is made of quality oak wood on the outside and red cedar inside. I followed the instructions to properly pre moisten the box's interior before Adding any cigars in it. So far the humidity holds for a week or better at about 75% moisture which I like, any more that 75% and the cigars seem to me to be to moist.The lid when closed provides a good seal to keep the humidity in.I would buy this humidor again if I ever needed another one.

Looks better in person. Very well built and holds a tight seal. It also included an extra hygrometer (probably a mistake) and an extra plate for engraving which was not mentioned in the description. There are two movable dividers for the bottom space which are too big to fit by a few millimeters (may fit if I remove the padding) but I do not need them anyway. I would buy again but I probably wont have too.

Before I purchased this Humidor I did read the reviews, All 4 1/2 stars or better, But when I received it, the screws holding the hinges were pulling out and the wood was cracked around the hinges. I reluctantly returned for a replacement, not knowing if the replacement would also be defective.Time will tell, it is on backorder...Im hoping the first humidor was the only faulty one. because otherwise the humidor would be a good one........... Well I recived my replacement humidor and It too is defective, the wood at the hinge area is also cracked and the screws are loose,and will eventually pull out like the first humidor I ordered, sad to say, but I am still without a good humidor.....from 41/2 stars down to 1 star....Just being honest about it.....ED

Perfect product

I seasoned it the first time for a week and within a couple days the hydrometer dropped from "ideal* to it's original state . I then tried to re season it but this time for 3 weeks. Thinking it was too many cigars that had absorbed the humidity. And after 3 weeks I added 4 cigars. This time it made it was after 5 days the meter dropped below ideal. Is the seal broken or something. It's not working as intended and for the price. Maybe I should gHave got a cheaper one for the same results.
