For whatever PD705 you might have...
I took a chance on a Lekato PD705 drum pad on sale during Prime Days, which appears to be identical to the HXW PD705 pad, which itself is branded as "Avatar PD705". Confusing? Not really, it's all the same Chinese-made drum pad, and it's surprisingly good for the money. Hitting a kick drum with a drum stick is just WRONG, though, so I got one of these to take care of the kick from a FS input on the PD705. I was surprised how good it works, and it's velocity sensitive--it's not just an opened/closed switch, it must be sending a voltage over the TS 1/4" wire that varies with velocity. Whatever flavor of PD705 you have, you need at least one of these. I may get a second for FS2 for the hi-hat. For a switch (as opposed to a trigger) it works WAY better than I expected. Very musical; I plan on using the PD705 as one of several potential inputs through a mixer into a Boss looper pedal for live solo performances soon.

Solid, but not the real thing.
Works okay on my Alesis drum pad but it definitely doesn’t have the feel of a real kick pedal. Works better as a high hat pedal. It was hard to play at quicker tempos because it doesn’t have the same return and feel of a true kick pedal. That being said, it does what it’s supposed to do. I like the fact that it stays put on my hardwood floors and doesn’t slide around while playing.

Great Build Quality But Does Not Work For Alesis Nitro Mesh
I took a risk on ordering this bass drum pedal after seeing that these pedals work for the Alesis Drumpads, however I these did not work for my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit. I have tried plugging them into the Tom4 slots on the modules as well as other input jacks with no luck. I do not blame the seller at all as they mention in the listing that it is not a universal pedal. I would look into Yamaha KU100 pedal if you are looking for a beaterless bass pedal for the Alesis Nitro. But for the Alesis Strike Drumpads these should work flawlessly.

works perfectly with Pyle digital drum PTED06
The kick drum pedal on the Pyle PTED06 is truly terrible (the rest of the kit is great however, sounds, voicing, drum kits are incredible and fun to play). I bought this foot switch and it works perfectly with the PTED06. To make it work with the PTED06 you need to plug the original electronic high hat pedal that came with the PTED06 (which works) into the original kick pedal (don't use it) plug the original kick pedal cable into a 3.5 mm splitter and then plug the HXW foot pedal into the free end of the splitter : example: SOLMIMI Headphone Splitter 3.5mm TRRS Stereo Audio Y Splitter Braided 4-Pole Male to 2-Female Dual Headphone Jack Splitter) . For the HXW. you need a cable like this 3.5mm to 6.35mm Stereo Audio Cable, 6.35mm 1/4" Male to 3.5mm 1/8" Male TRS Bidirectional Stereo Audio Cable Jack 4FT for Guitar to plug into the splitter.

Built nice, just doesn’t work for me.
Built well and may work for others depending on the compatibility of your set, but did not work well with my Lekato mini electric drum set. It connects correctly, but the constant accidental double triggering makes it unusable. However the build quality seems nice, if it worked I have no doubt it’d last long. Noise level is very low.

A Great Deal! Buy it, you'll like it!
This $50 pedal works great with an Alesis Strike Multipad, it's solid metal construction is perfect and it has a good foot feel. The price is affordable and IMHO, a great bargain. BTW, it comes with a 1/4" TSxTS cable but this unit also works with a 1/4" TRSxTRS cable (not included) which is needed to trigger your open/chick samples. FYI, the Alesis RealHat Hi-Hat Pedal works better with the Alesis Strike MultiPad but costs about $120 USD. For me these are the only hi-hat pedals to consider for my MultiPad. Good luck!

This pedal is immense and beautifully engineered. Sturdy steel manufacture, superb feel and control, with very generous splash pedal travel control. It works perfectly with my Alesis original Crimson kit, and far better than the original Alesis pedal. I’ve bought a second for my other kits as I was so impressed with the first!
