Bought these early on when my daughter was almost 1 years old. (Now 2) she uses these all the time! They are just her size, they are a little heavy but to be expected with glass. Super cute! They are not leak proof, these spill all the time which is a bummer. But very durable, my daughter usually will just carry around by the straw. Has dropped several times without any damage. Did drop one outside in the concrete and the cup itself was fine, but the plastic top shattered.

I love these cups my my kids! The colors are so cute but most importantly they’re so versatile! I love that they’re glass but have the silicone sleeve to protect them from breaking. I’ve had them for about 2 years and my child hasn’t broken a single one. I like that you can use it for any stage, as a sippy cup, straw cup, open cup, and even a fully sealed snack cup! The removable sleeve makes it so easy to wash as well. Love these!

Not only are they really cute/ stylish for both little boy and girls, but they are of GREAT quality! They function perfectly and the price was extremely reasonable for all that comes in the package. Four Storage lids, four silicone straws that are large enough for smoothies, leak-proof inserts (they provide extra inserts as well), four nice glass cups, and four silicone guards to put on the cups to help keep them from breaking. My kid has thrown the cup down a lot and the glass holds up well, especially with the guards on it. He’s only one and is able to easily carry it around with one hand with liquid in it. This product just demonstrates that a lot of intention was put into it which I greatly appreciate. I’ve had them a month so if anything changes I’ll update.

As crazy as it may sound, finding the right drinking cups for my kids has been challenging. Seems ridiculous right?! There are so many choices out there. In my attempts to find the “right one” I think I’ve tried most on the market, to no avail. The ones I’ve brought in the past have either fallen apart, broken too easily, the kids didn’t like them, they weren’t spill proof, or they were not cups the kids would continue using in a year or two. Finally my search is over!! I found Elk and Friends - and yes, they feel like true friends. This review is on the long end, but I have a lot to say about these fun cups. In an attempt to try to problem solve our on-going issue of kids knocking over their drinking cups, EVERYDAY, sometime multiple times a day, I was back on Amazon looking for a better option then what we had used in the past. Since we prefer to use glass and stainless-steel cups over plastic, my best option seemed to repurchase some mediocre silicone cup toppers we have used but have since fallen apart. While looking for these toppers, I came across the Elk and Friends mason jar cups for kids. FINALLY someone is making these for kids with silicone sleeves! I already use 16oz mason jars with silicone sleeves as my daily drinking cup so I was VERY EXCITED to find a mini version for the kids - in fun colors too!! And with matching lids and straws!! After reading all the reviews and visiting Elk and Friends website, I decided to give them a try and ordered the 4pack of 8oz glass jars that come with sleeves, and matching lids and straws. They arrived quickly and were packed very well in a cute eco-friendly box. Everything arrived as advertised and in perfect condition. The kids love them! And I could not be happier! We use them for everything! Water, tea, veggie/fruit shakes, juice, among other things. These have become the only cups the kids want to use. And since we they use more than 1 cup a day, I realized the 4 pack was not going to be enough for us. Two weeks after my initial order, I followed up with an order for the 6 pack of the 8oz glass cups as well as the 4 pack of the 8oz stainless steel cups. Once again, everything with my orders was seamless and perfect! A few notes about why we LOVE these cups: 1. Eco friendly. Whenever possible we prefer to use glass and stainless for beverages and food. Elk and Friends glasses are perfect for us with their glass and stainless steel options. Also love their simple yet cute packaging. 2. Versatile. Use them as cups or containers. Great for kids and adults. In addition to the straw lid these cups also come with a matching leak proof lid. These are awesome for turning your cup into a snack or food storage container. The lids also work with our other regular mouth mason jars. So we can use them in the freezer or fridge for our other food storage. I know it’s not important but I love having the fun colors for my mason jars. It makes my mundane duties more fun. 3. Easy to replace glassware. Yes, glass is not indestructible but replacements glasses are easy to get. We have purchases other brands of glasses with silicone sleeves but the glass was thin and they all broke quickly. It’s been challenging to get replacements for these other brands, and honestly I don’t want to spend any more money on them because they will be broken before we really use them. This is not an issue with Elk and Friends mason jar cups. Mason jars are much more robust and much easier to find. Also, when used on the jar, the lids and sleeves provide protection. We have had 2 cups fall from about 36” height onto tile flooring - they both had their sleeves and lids on and neither of them broke, cracked or chipped. That is a huge win in my book. 4. Fun colors and matching lids and straws. The kids love to mix and match lids and straws for fun combinations of colors. 5. Well designed. I love the details that have gone into the design of these. The straws have built in stoppers so kids can’t yank the straw out of the cups. This can be a safety thing as much as a parent sanity helper. I received a bad eye injury when a kid yanked a plastic straw out of a cup which hit me in the eye. You know it’s bad when you can’t open your eye for a week and the optometrist says “Wow!” when they see the injury. I realize that the straw that come with these cups are silicone and much softer than plastic straw – so there is less chance of injuries – but it’s still a great feature to have the straw stopper. Also, these straws are tapered on the bottom to allow fluids to flow better. Brilliant! 6. Awesome customer service. I have had no issues with any of my orders, but I reached out to Elk and Friends company to inquire about the availability of their 12oz cups. (My oldest wanted some bigger cups.) The owner responded very quickly, warmly yet professionally, and has kept me updated on the availability. I think we are friends now :) I just ordered the 12oz ones today!! I have no doubt that if there was some fluke with any order, it would be promptly addressed and the customer would be made better than whole. They have also gone the extra mile to follow up on my orders to make sure all was well. Who does that anymore?? Its companies like these I love supporting. 7. They make baby food jars too. Years back we bought some for storing our homemade baby food in - freezer and fridge. No babies now but we still use the little jars for a variety of things. These Elk and Friends cups have been a lifesaver for us - a true godsend. The kids love them, and we are so happy to find these perfect kids cups. We don’t have any cons. These cups really have been that good for us. I read a review where someone took a star away because they aren’t leak proof. This has not been an issue for us at all - not even a concern. Yes, if the cup is full and on its side, liquid may leak out from the straw hole. That should be expected since that happens with pretty much every straw and lid situation. On top of that, these cups aren’t advertised as being leak proof with the straw lid so don’t let that deter you. The other lids without the holes have been leak proof for us. All in all, these cups have saved us countless spills and water messes. They are a little more expensive than buying cheap plastic cups, but they are healthier, more durable, and much more versatile. Plus they can be your forever cups. Definitely worth the money! My only regret is that I didn’t get these sooner. Learn from my mistakes and just go with these mason jar cups from Elk and Friends!!

We have had these cups for the past 4 months. Pros: I love that they are glass and not plastic, the silicone is also easily removable to make for easy cleaning. These are also STURDY, my 18 month old has dropped them from his high chair several times and we to have not had any issues with breaking on any of the cups. The silicone also adds a great grip for littles to use. Good capacity and size Cons: I would NOT call these spill proof. If they are sideways in the floor, water/juice/etc does still leak out of the straw or the opening even if the straw is in itz which is the main reason I am giving this 4 stars. The leaking is usually minimal and slow flowing. Mold and dirt can also build up under the silicone due to trapped moisture so you need to clean this part regularly. Overall would buy again and have enjoyed using these cups

I had purchased these cups a few years ago for my daughter-in-law to use with her toddlers, and she loved them. I bought another set recently to have here at my house for another daughter's young children who visit at least once a week. These have become the cup of choice for them (ages 5 and 3), and I like that there are fewer (if any) spills at the table : ) They are easy for little hands to hold, and the kids love sipping through the straws. They are easy to wash either by hand or dishwasher, and the colors are wonderful. The set comes with gaskets to ensure tight, leakproof lids as well as a second set of plain lids if you want to use the jars for storing food. Highly recommend!

These are amazing cups. They provide clean tasting water/ drinks. They are drop proof as long as the silicone cover is on. I've dropped these cups myself from the car, counter ect and they do not break. That being said they are NOT spill proof. These cups are for older toddlers who understand spilling and using a cup, they are not for beginners unless you want to clean up. These cups have taught my newer 2 year old toddler to handle drinks properly by putting them upright when not in use, and in cup holders. Ive used the spilling as opportunity to teach him to clean up spills as well. He now loves using these with 0 lid!

Great product

Excellent product but I was hoping there’d be replacement jars since they do eventually break (albeit not as quickly as they would without the silicone!)

Have yet to use it with the lid on but the plastic does not feel of good quality and things just don’t screw on nicely. The glass is quite thick and heavy though.
