It might depend on your exact model. Most in this series max out at 32GB in 4 slots and so they want you to have an 8GB RAM in each slot. In those cases, no. But if you have a model that takes more than 32GB, then yes.

I don't know we used it in and Intel NUC with an i7 processor and it works fine.

I installed these in an Acer laptop with no problems at all. Crucial is a well established company, I've been using them almost exclusively for 15+ years. If the Gateway will take this type of RAM then all should be good. Just go out to the Gateway site and look up the technical specifications for your model.
