Good quality, on the large side (GOOD!), well stitched, nice color and multiple ;pieces. I like them and they feel thick enough and have the silver lining so I doubt I have to worry about burns.

These are just what I was looking for (don't care for the giant ones or the ones with non slip on one side) and seemed hard to find so I was excited to find these on amazon for a reasonable price. My only complaint is that the shrunk quite a bit ( they are now 61/2" square! ) I don't wash or dry on super hot, just cool or warm and have never had other hot pads shrink so I was very surprised. They are a bit small now but otherwise work very well for what I need.

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for - good size and padding, easy to handle (I prefer over clumsy mitts and silicone pot holders) and nice colors too

3 yr update: These have been my daily go-to set for 3 years. I use almost exclusively cast iron which wears on anything and I cook 3-4x per day, 7 days a week. I just ordered another set as the first set is starting to fray some after this ise and washing about 2x per month. Obviously, I've been pretty happy with these since I'm reordering them. I'll still keep the old set but move them to my grill drawer. They are still perfectly functional for messy work. I like utilitarian functional kitchen stuff that is all about the performance and has a style that works with anything, and these fit the bill. These are a little wider than I'm used to so that may take some getting used to, but hopefully that also expands my use of them like being a quick handy trivet. The basic black will likely hide some kinds of dirt but show others like flour. I've not washed them yet but the stitching looks good and I think they should last for a while. It's a flat functional look on one side with a silver second side that is quite heat resistant, perhaps silicone. I've not experimented with these much yet, but I cook almost exclusively with cast iron and it's worked very well for handles on even that hottest pans. One month update: These have been used extensively and washed several times. Overall I’d say they are slightly stiffer than all cotton ones but has not been a problem. Baking supplies definitely show more but are also easily shaken loose so it’s not like they have to be washed every time. They wash well however, and don’t pucker and haven’t faded in 4 washings.

They’re well made, but the heat comes right thru the potholder.
