Great semi-permanent dye for gray coverage and maintenance
I’ve been using Adore Semi Permanent Hair Color in Jet Black to cover my mom’s gray hair, and it works really well for that purpose. We use it about once a month, and it provides even, natural-looking coverage without being harsh on her hair or scalp. The formula is gentle and easy to apply, with no strong chemical smell. I also use it on my own hair, and as expected for a semi-permanent dye, it does gradually wash out completely after about 10–15 washes. Overall, I'd recommend this option for gray coverage or refreshing color, especially if you want something vegan and cruelty-free!

Go to semi permanent hair dye
Adore Semi-Permanent Hair Color has become my absolute go-to for vibrant, fun hair color. The shade I'm currently obsessed with is Lavender, and it's just as adorable as the name suggests. The color payoff is fantastic, giving me a rich, beautiful shade that gets so many compliments. I've used this dye in countless colors over the years, and it has never let me down. It's so reliable and easy to work with. One of the things I really appreciate is that it says to process with heat, but I've never bothered to do that, and the color has always come out perfect. Since it's a straight color-depositing dye and doesn't require a developer, I don't believe the heat is truly necessary, and my results prove it. If you're looking for a semi-permanent dye that gives great results, has a huge range of colors, and is super easy to use, I highly recommend Adore. It's a fantastic choice for anyone looking to experiment with fun, vibrant hair colors

So pigmented!
I really like the semi-permanent hair color it lasts and it does not make your hair hard and stiff. It leaves a beautiful color and makes your hair silky. I used it on bleached hair since I have black hair and the color is very vibrant. It lasts a few weeks and then I have to touch up the roots but other than that I highly recommend it. I love how it adds a pop of color to my hair. It is great quality for the price.

Amazing!!!
I love this stuff, have bought both of their purple shades at different times and they both came out beautifully, along with their electric lime color from when I went green a while back! My only issue is that it DOES fade a bit quicker than other hair dyes, so I have to dye it a few times a month, however for the length my hair is at I only need a little under half a bottle to cover it fully so I can't complain too much :) I totally recommend this to anyone who wanted a pretty color that fades quickly!

Beautiful color!
I gave 5 because it does what it says, doesnt dry or damage your hair and you can use it right after a Brazilian blowout. But, is does bleed, so highly, highly recommend if you DO NOT want your entire head this color, or if you have light colored hair. USE FOIL! The color is pretty, and a little goes a long way. Unless you have thick, coarse hair, which i do, so my hair just drinks it up and requires thick and heavy layers. I used honey brown and made streaks with this burgundy. I was a gray/brondish with brassy tones and some yellowing from heavy metals in water.. I love the colors, it covered my 50% gray with ease.. Just bled into my scalp and areas where I wanted more brown. Foil! Foil! Foil! I also recommend a hair cap after applying and letting it stay on at least an hour before washing. Using a sulfate free shampoo should allow it to last longer. Did not dry out or damage my hair. I dont use conditioner everyone you shouldn't need it after applying. Dry your hair on a low heat or cool setting to prevent breakage. I also did not use any heat for processing, simple shower cap to protect dye from bleeding onto my furniture.

Adore Me Some Adore—Fantasy Hair on a Budget with Indigo Blue Magic
Let me tell you: I’ve been on a personal journey through the rainbow, and Adore has been my trusty sidekick the whole way. I’ve been buying their fantasy colors off Amazon for a couple years now because a) I only dye my money piece, and b) I like to switch it up more than a toddler in a Halloween costume aisle. My most recent adventure? Indigo Blue. This shade is chef’s kiss if you want that deep, ocean-at-midnight vibe. It starts out looking like you stole pigment from Poseidon’s favorite cloak. It is semi-permanent, though, so don’t expect it to cling to your hair like your cat clings to the warm laundry. I got a solid couple of weeks before it started fading into a soft pastel seafoam vibe—not bad, just a different kind of cute. The fade is gentle, not patchy or weird, and it never made me look like I lost a battle with a Smurf. Now, let’s talk consistency. This dye is not watery like those runny nightmares from some other brands. It stays put, which is great when you’re trying to paint your hair, not your bathroom walls. Plus, each bottle is 4oz and you get two—a total steal for under $10 depending on the shade. That’s salon color price on a ramen noodle budget. Here’s my own Adore color lineup: Rich Eggplant, African Violet, Violet Gem, Purple Rage – All queens in their own purple way. Long-lasting, vibrant, and fade like a dreamy pastel. Neon Pink – WARNING: It's so neon you might start glowing like a Vegas sign under a blacklight. Not actually glow-in-the-dark, but close enough. Jet Black – Ehh... the one I wouldn’t recommend. Fades fast and gives a weird greenish cast. Use a true permanent black if you’re going dark-dark. Back to Indigo Blue—while it did fade faster than the purples, I still loved it. The blue washed out beautifully and didn’t stain my bathroom like an abstract art project gone wrong. Oh, and it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and free of ammonia, peroxide, and alcohol, so my money piece stays shiny and happy instead of fried and crunchy. In short: If you’re fantasy-dye curious, broke-ish, non-committal with color, or just a long-time color addict like me—Adore is the move.

Mocha covers pink, but I suggest diluting it
This is a tough product to rate because it has pros and cons. I got the color mocha with the intention of covering my hot pink hair. A lot of reviews say the mocha turned their hair green, which I wanted to neutralize the pink. Pros: smells good, easy to use, easy to clean, not damaging, covered pink very well (to an auburn color). Cons: the only con, but it's a big one, is that it did turn the ends of some of my hair, mostly my face framing pieces a greenish dark brown. I ended up trimming as much of it off as I could, but don't be like me and please do a strand test. I haven't washed my hair yet, but even if it comes out quickly, I have enough left to add to conditioner to refresh the color without going too dark again. For the process, I put it on completely dry hair, shower cap, heated with blow dryer for a minute, left cap on for 30 min, rinsed out. I have above shoulder length hair, natural level 2 roots, ends were lightened to a 7/8. I doused my hair and used about 60% of the bottle.

Floored
Seriously amazed at how vibrant the color is and how well it took to my hair! I can't speak for the lasting power as I just dyed it last night, but the process was easy and I was able to get all the color off with no staining. I'm not marking it down for this as everyone's hair is different, but I will say that some of the colors may not work for you as they have for others. First picture shows my natural color, which I would call an ashy dark blonde. I wanted to go for a dark brown so I ordered the color Mocha. Since I was gong to a darker brown from an ashy blonde, I read that yous hould first do a warmer color as a base to combat the green in the dark brown. I ordered the spiced amber - - going by the swatch, that looked like the closest to my natural color but just a bit warmer. Well, it turned out to be A LOT warmer. I used the entire bottle and just saturated my hair. Left it on for only 20 minutes. In the 2nd and 3rd photo, you can see that the Spiced Amber turned out looking more like the Ginger color on my hair. I hated it. I immediately followed with another shampoo, and then coated my hair with a combo of conditioner and the color Mocha. I used about 2/3 of the bottle for this. I left that on for 2 hours and the last 2 picture are the result. So obviously the base copper color was not needed here and when this all washes out, I'll just use mocha on its own. I like it more than my natural and I'm still very impressed with the priceand quality of this product! ***EDIT*** 12/19/2024 Knocking off 1 star. It's been months and unfortunately this stuff has not fully washed out as shown by last photo. My hair now seems to be this permanent dark blonde color. I guess it could be worse but I do detest the slight hint of green that I sometimes see in it. I think it's because I went with the dark brown color at one point. That was a mistake then as it looked horrible (Like the color of my poop after a night of drinking, lol!), and it remains a mistake as Ive never been fully able to get the green hue out. Just a bit of warning if you're a blonde and considering going dark with this product!
