I love this 12-string guitar!
I absolutely love this 12-string guitar! I had an Ovation 12-string years ago and really wanted to play again, but needed to find the most economical solution and this Janerock guitar fit the bill - it's a good solution for all guitar players, beginners to advanced. The guitar arrived in perfect condition, and the matte black finish is nicely done without any flaws and cleans up fingerprints nicely with a moistened microfiber cloth. I was initially worried the body might be too deep for me, as I'm not a big guy and the specs said 7" deep - but I was pleasantly surprised that the body at the neck junction is 4" deep and at the base 5" deep - perfect for me. After playing a few days I accidentally broke the Octave G string tuning it, so I loosened all the strings, removed the saddle and sanded a millimeter or two off the bottom of the saddle to lower the action, which turned out perfectly. I conditioned the fretboard and bridge with some lemon air for guitars, and polished it up - the wood drank it in and the process turned out excellent. Then I restrung the Octave G string and tuned everything up, but the Octave G broke again - the tuner was at F# going up the scale, but I don't think it was capable of tuning to the Octave G and the string broke again. So I decided to use a #3B string in place of the very thin #6G string, which required filing the nut slot just a touch and then restringing with the #3B string tuned equal to the #5G lower octave string - it worked out great and sounds excellent - a richer and more vibrant overall tone with 3 sets of matching string tones: GG, BB, EE. I strum with vigor at times, so I'm not going to ever try again with the thin Octave G again, as I like the tone as it is. In the process of this 'journey' I've watched a lot of YouTube videos about 12-string tuning, restringing, fretboard care, etc., so it's been a real learning experience and well worth the effort. Tomorrow Amazon delivers a guitar Luthier tool kit so I can take my guitar maintenance to the next level - I hope this review helps you.

FOR THE MONEY---- IT IS SERIOUS.....
bottom- line, I have high end guitars, ALL 1970'S,(EARLY) (F40, F50R, F512, J65 ETC.)GUILDS. USED ONLY FOR CONCERTS AND BIGGER GIGS. I AM AN OLD SESSIONS MUSICIAN,(EARLY 1970 THROUGH. I NEEDED A PRACTICE PLAYER FOR JUST WORKABILITY, NOTHING MORE, (YES, SOMETHING TO STAY IN TUNE)-WAS SHOCKED TO FIND THIS CHEAP, AND I ASSUMED P.O.S.------ ON AMAZON.. ITS QUALITY AND SOUND AND OUT OF THE BOX AND NECK SPEED, FLOORED ME!!!! I ADJUSTED THE NECK ACTION DOWN A HAIR- AND--JUST WENT FOR IT. LOL WILL BE ORDERING A FEW MORE AS I AM ROUGH ON FRETBOARDS.. I KNOW THIS WONTLAST, BUT, DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A DEAL AND BEATS THE HELL OUT OF PAYING 400 AND UP FOR JUNK IN THE PAWN SHOPS..-- ACTUALLY, JUST FOR SOME GET TOGETHERS, i AM WILLING TO PULL IT OUT- JUST FOR THE LOOK ON THE FACES... LOL

Great find!
I bought this as a gift for my teenage grandson who is left handed. I also purchased a book with left hand chords illustrated. He is over the moon. He has progressed quickly and loves this guitar. Worth. Every. Penny. Guitar is well constructed and has a nice mellow sound. I hope we will be jamming together soon!

Does the job for a first-time player
So far so good, took a little while to tune and retune as the strings and neck settled down but has held its notes well through some robust sessions. My first time with a 12-string and found it fairly easy to play and quite forgiving for a rank amateur. The sound is very rich and at the price it's been a great addition.

Great guitar for a great price
Beautiful guitar at a great price. My husband has many guitars but has always wanted a 12 string, he was surprised and and has enjoyed playing it much since receiving it. It has great sound. Carries well when playing in a group.

Brand new out of box and neck is fractured
Guitar sat in the box for a month. Had my brother ( who is a pro) help tune it and the neck fractured by the heel. 😔
