Good quality
I had surgery to correct a bunion, hammer toe, and a third toe issue. I purchased this product because the padding in the heal of the one that was prescribed by my doctor’s office lost its cushion affect after three weeks of use. So far this product has held up better after the same amount of time. I am female and I wear an 8.5 wide tennis shoe. I definitely have extra room at the end of this medium sized shoe which is fine. The adjustable straps allow for ACE bandages and gauze. I no longer need an ACE bandage or gauze, just a regular sock and found that the shoe is a bit too large now. I thought about purchasing a smaller size, but I will soon be going into a special sandal prescribed by my doctor, so I just wear a thicker sock instead. You will likely get a sore calf muscle at first, but it is not the fault of the shoe. It is simply because the is designed to put all the pressure on your heel instead of your toes. After a while, you will strengthen your muscle and that will not be an issue. I do suggest trying to find a tennis shoe or boot that has equal height as you will have an uneven gate otherwise. Again, not the fault of the product. It is designed the same as the one that my surgeon prescribed. I do recommend this product.

Effective, inexpensive, customizable.
This off-loading toe boot is very effective. It is light weight and built to aid in the healing process. Its light weight construction won't hold up to active use, one would need a much more robust construction for that. The insert removes for easy modification.

Vice off loading shoe
Used the device for 4 days so far. The ulcer on my foot seems better? Works good so far.

If it looks too good to be true, it is.
This boot was far more comfortable than the one my doctor issued. Unfortunately, there is a reason that the doctor didn’t issue it. It puts your foot in a dangerous position as you are walking. One wrong step or loss of balance and your foot can jut forward. I dislocated my bunion surgical site without even realizing it. My doc asked if I was wearing this boot and I said yes. He says it happens too often. I had to have emergency surgery the following day to fix the dislocated bone. It was like starting all over again in my recovery. Totally devastating. I’m on the mend now but I put my foot through two horrible surgeries all b/c I thought I had found an easier boot to walk in. Don’t do it. It’s not worth the risk if you had a bunion surgery.

Little slippery on smooth floor. Pay attention to size.
Only issue is the slippage. It is like a ladies’ dress shoe. Slides on slick floor like hardwood but ok on carpet. Hard plastic with no rubber. Purchased a “surgical shoe” for a foot fracture at advice of orthopedist. Urgent care supplied a boot, but orthopedist suggested shoe to increase range of motion and to prevent physical therapy to re-strengthen ankle. As suggested, wear it when short distances without crowds. Wear 8.5 Women shoe. S fits very well. When in doubt, order larger. The more shoe beyond your toe, the better the protection, but you want to keep proper offload as well. Find videos as to proper use. This isn’t “normal walk.” This is step and catch up. Focus on body position. First day hurt but friend told me to keep my body tall and slow down. My biggest difficulty beyond the slippage was training myself not to try to use only the heel as I was doing before seeking care. Get some cute socks! Everyone will see them. Or black ankle or crew socks to hide it. People I was around didn’t notice shoe until they saw my unusual gait—step, together.

I would order again.
Good quality boot, however for where my injury is, it just doesn't work. Came clean, no signs of prior usage. FYI I just cut a section of a pool noodle for my heel and that has been working out great!

Saved my Disney trip
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Worked perfectly when I broke my pinky toe on the first day of our Disney trip. I was able to comfortable walk all over the parks with this boot.
