This is Mora knives at its best. Affordable, reliable and simply a great purchase. The 90 degree spine is very sharp for striking the ferro rod and getting fires going. The Scandi grind is about as good as it gets from not being ground by hand. Love this knife

Have easily owned hundreds upon hundreds of knives over the years, costing next to nothing and extending to thousands for custom and collectible versions. This remains at the top 10% due to being so useful and cost effective. Plenty of other reviews to get the idea. One concern that I'll address with extend use is how sturdy and comfortable the attached ferro rod is. Normally I carry everything important separately and even duplicated sometimes in triplicate or more i.e. three knives and at least three different methods of fire starting ( waterproof matches, windproof lighter, magnifying lens, ferro stick and knowledge to make a fire bow, rubbing two girl scouts together, etc. I'll keep a few on hand for gifts, preemptive bribes and such. Love mora and have been buying them for a decade at least. I have wanted the companion spark since it came out and I finally have it. Already started a fire with it and it works perfectly with the spine of the knife. It does get some soot on the blade but it’s easy to wipe off. It’s a really sharp blade and easy to maintain. Fantastic grip like always. Lightweight but very durable. Good for carving work around camp, filleting fish, cutting lines, and cutting open items. Good all around fixed blade to wear on your belt. I don’t recommend trying to “baton” with this blade.

I purchased this Morakniv Companion Spark 3.9-Inch Fixed-Blade Outdoor Knife and Fire Starter for absolutely no reason at all. I simply wanted another knife. I saw that it was reduced and said why not! 1. Knife arrived hair shaving sharp, seriously sharp people! 2. fire starter fit right into the handle, made sparks no issues its that simple! 3. Ergonomics felt great in my hand, the handle is very comfortable 4. Overall build quality is what you would expect from this manufacturer, its top notch, its a mora! Its not my 1st and it definitely wont be my last. 5. Also included was a few inches of micro cord, should you need it, it can be replaced with nano cord or your preferred standard 550 paracord. As a handyman, diy weekend warrior a prepper of if you simply just appreciate a good, economical knife that can just about do it all and do it well! Just toss this in your go bag, day bag or add it to your bushcraft kit and away you go! No regrets... As a handyman i approve this knife, paid for it, no freebies. Just an honest review. Don't think twice, just buy it!

Awesome item. Sharp, solid and durable. Functional and great for camping. Recommended. Used for camping. Size is perfect not to big and easy to carry with case. Grip is good comfortable and non slip.

My kids love them. The strikers don’t stay in super well, but we haven’t lost any, yet. They are sharp and very reasonably priced for what you get. I’d give 5 stars if the striker was more secure.

I used this knife as my only knife during two recent camping trips. Also used the knife to whittle shavings to start a fire. The blade is still sharp! After the trips, I like this knife so much, I purchased a second one. Great knife.

Fantastic knife for the money. Everyone should have one of these in their glove box.
