Exceeded my expectations across the board. Quality craftsmanship, beautiful details, as if it was hand-hewn. The color is perfect: Not too dark, not too light. A delicious caramel color. Holds firm even when I plop down on it. READ THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY! Read them through FIRST, before you assemble, and really do NOT tighten the screws all the way. There was a step that you kind of have to imply because the instructions skip over it, so I did have to struggle a bit on the first pass and I was glad I paid attention to the directive about not tightening the screws until the end. I assembled solo, but it is probably better to do it with a helper, just to hold elements. Assembly didn't take that long, though. A great addition to the kitchen, it's been used as a seat, table, shelf, chopping block. The height gives it versatility. A+, definitely recommend.

Easy assembly, twenty minutes. Extremely solid and sturdy. Excellent hardware. I have one of these and a similarly sized teak stool. This one is more favored and gets more use. It is a an excellent piece of traditional bedroom, boudoir, studio or dressing room furniture. It is a bit rustic, so it may not be suitable in formal decor. I have a mix of both and a lot old furniture so it matches the eclectic decor in my boudoir studio frolicking room. It's a heavy, solid, substantial, supportive and well crafted 20 inch stool that will last a long time with extensive and intensive use. I did have to apply a little bit of wood filler to the seat surface. Hardly noticeable blemish with the woodgrain, and a small but very noticeable knot. The description does say knot-free, but there is a knot in the center of the seat, and it had a tad bit of rough grain around it. No big worry for me; matter of fact, I enjoyed smoothing it out and burnishing to a silky finish. Not bad at all given the excellent price point at 67 US dollars, and it touched up nicely anyway.

Beautiful, functional, easy-ish to put together… the problem was me, kinda and maybe the instructions too. I put it in the balcony, because I felt the smell of the finish, but it wasn’t too strong, but it was enough, for an enclosed area without ventilation. The stool looks nice, almost like a table, I put my little fan on, and it was looking pretty! It’s is plenty big for wide hips also, comfortable, well packed, attractive enough…pleasant to look at, also heavy enough…substantial, around 20 pounds, it’s a robust piece, that can become an instant, I felt that you were around since forever, piece. Because it’s very versatile, I think that I can place this by the door, to put my shoes on, no shoes inside… like the Japanese way. When I move to a permanent place. Just ordered one, to eat in the corner of the kitchen, my place is small, but beautiful, and this piece is perfect for virtually any place., small or big …I think that it was a fair price, for such a versatile piece of furniture. Follow instructions re: keeping screws loose until all parts are secured. Easy to put together. Quite impressed with sturdiness.

We’ve had these for about a year now and they are fabulous! They’re sturdy, comfortable for all sorts of cabooses, and they look great, too. I wish they came in a natural, light finish so I could buy them for my bar height table.

I'm giving four stars for the assembly is tricky. The instructions are fairly straightforward, but I found two holes in the table leg that were drilled too large and the screws didn't fit. I remembered my stepfather's advice about breaking up wooden matches and putting them into the enlarged drilled holes so that the screws will work--it worked. All in all, the table looks good and it's very sturdy. It took me about an hour to assemble.

Stool is not smooth on top. It's sturdy and I like it, I expected a flat smooth top.

This stool has beautiful wood and is very sturdy. I use it as a side table and an extra seating spot when we have a large group of people over. It’s a great piece of furniture.

I wanted a nice looking stool to put in my small porch to sit to put boots on. This was an excellent choice. Very sturdy and looks nice.

This product is very sturdy but does need to have the legs tightened regularly. Nice large seats. Do scratch/mark very easily.
