I recommend the 909X OBD2 scan tool. This is a professional OBD2 scanner and diagnostic tool that can communicate with your cars computers to get the results that you want. I have other OBD2 tools, but this one gives me additional features that I need and more vehicles are supported. The 909X tool an investment that will pay for itself quickly in repair cost savings. I was working on my brake system but I could not get a good brake pedal response. The Anti-lock Breaking System (ABS) bleed function helped me complete the project. When testing the final result of the brake work, put the car in drive or reverse. I found when the car is in park, the brake pedal can go nearly to the floor, giving the false impression that the brakes are severely soft. Test in a safe environment. Finish with a drive test. The 909X scan tool is built with nice features. In addition to having greater testing and reset functionality compared to my other OBD2 tools, little improvements make a cumulative difference. A larger screen, the ability to disconnect the cable from the diagnostic tool (so you can temporarily remove the tool without disconnecting from underneath the dashboard), and the special power connection on the data cable to power the 909X tool while working on a car system when the internal 909X battery is low on power. Remember, if you ever need to remove a car battery, use a computer keep alive power connection so you will not lose the computer settings and engine tuning information. Before clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), write them down. The 909X is supposed to save the DTCs under History, but will clear anything you clear. The 909X can be helpful for a used car buyer. It is good to check I/M readiness, where you can check for emissions problems, check for pending emissions problems and cleared emission codes that need more engine time to report status. The full Diagnose mode will help identify other DTCs. Remember, sometimes a problem can be fixed and the code not cleared by the mechanic, but at least you have some guidance of potential problems.

I am loving this Launch scanner. I didn’t plan on getting such an advanced tool but I am glad I did because it is helping me out big time. I have codes on my BMW Z4 ever since I purchased the car and having replaced some parts The codes were never reset. The tool is surprisingly simple to use and figure out. With the system diagnostic scan, I had several codes show up and after repair I was able to reset every one of them. I like that I can get real time data with this CRP909X, like battery voltage. I really like the health scan feature because it checks every component and system of the vehicle. This will be an awesome tool to use when purchasing a used vehicle. Support is awesome, I had some difficulty in receiving free CR319. Once I reached them to verified purchase, CR319 was shipped immediately and support followed up on receiving item!!!

Extremely nice product and highly recommended. Easy to use, scans fast, and gives many detailed diagnoses and reset options. Wi-Fi connection easy and steady, can send diagnostic reports to user for viewing on PC. Found a couple of codes that I was not aware of on my vehicle. Live data view for the vehicle is amazing. Tons of features to be discovered. The price is over 400 but the utilities and features are well justified for the price.

What I like: Updates are easy and all software is included even a TPMS tool. physical buttons a great feature. Reports can be send by email very quickly and also you can customize them with your shop information. Sturdy case. You can access the internet with the device that includes YouTube. You can see live data from most sensors. What can be improved: HD screen, HDMI output, be able to add your shop logo to the device, Bluetooth option, active test (bidirectional communication), be able to send your live data record to your pc for late analysis and a USB port. In conclusion: If you are looking to see and reset codes, view live data and generate vehicle health reports. For this price point is one if not the best, But if you are looking for more, then you have to pay more for sure. Is not all in one unit but is very handy in the way of eliminating the guest game of removing parts just to find out they are good. I will recommend this for any DIY weekend mechanic. Will save you time!

I've used this tool multiple times to help friends out and fix problems. I picked it up for my own personal vehicles, as the shop I run deals with classic cars and not modern OBD2 vehicles, but it has been amazing for those one off jobs or when I'm helping out friends and family. Easy to use. Just sad that there's a subscription for updates after a year.

On the spec sheet this scanner seems awesome, but in reality most of "special" features are only applicable to few car brands. It's specially useless on Toyota and Honda vehicles. All it can do is to scan for fault codes and nothing else, which is same as a $20 code scanner. I contacted support to verify this and was shocked to find that - 1st, Launch products on Amazon are NOT Launch USA authorized product, so there's no tech support or warranty from Launch USA. However, an email is provided to contact Launch support in China, which brings to 2nd. Tech support in China does nothing but bouncing emails around and wasting time. They fool around to make sure you are past the return window and then tell ya sorry that's how it is, and there's nothing they can do about it.
