EVOO is an adventure in the US. There are many brands of EVOO that are mixed oils, or worse, tinted vegetable oil (yikes!). You can google "fake olive oils" and find several articles listing the brands to stay away from.Then there is the "polyphenol" count. Polyphenols are the source of health in "healthy EVOO." The higher the count, the more expensive the oil -- for good reason. One TB of a 300-count EVOO is equal to 3 TBs of a 100-count EVOO. Many of the "high polyphenol" oils listed here on Amazon simply say "30x higher than regular," but 30x higher than what, exactly?I began using California Ranch EVOO when I discovered I had been misled by other famous brands.I settled on Astarte when I went shopping for a "high polyphenol" EVOO. I have used about half my first can, taking it as a supplement a TB at a time, straight, on an empty stomach. Great, smooth flavor. Peppery finish. Organic. Rated at 358 mg/kg. Moderately priced. Comes in a metal container, so no glass breakage in shipping. I will definitely order again. And again, as I will be taking a daily dose from now on.

This is a light and flavorful olive oil that I enjoy on salads, pasta, and vegies. It has just enough flavor but not overpowering. It also can be used as a daily supplement.I am supplementing my review to discuss the new protective packaging used for shipment. My previous shipments frequently had dents in the can. The outside covering prevents denting and my shipment arrived with no dents. Still great quality and flavor of this olive oil.Great product.

This is the absolute BEST olive oil I've ever tasted. I don't cook with it just because it's too lovely to heat - I pour it on many types of food for a wonderfully healthful flavor enhancement. I give it a s gifts frequently.

The oil tastes fantastic, I like the can (not plastic) it comes in, but the top ruins the entire product. When you pour it, the hole is round and centered at the top and has a plastic plug piece that screws down to keep the oil from coming out when not tilted or pouring, but it collects oil across the entire can after you pour, it spills down the sides of the can, it's such a mess to use no matter how much or little you use, and for this reason I will not purchase this oil again unless they fix this huge problem.

We do a lot of entertaining and really enjoy putting together “before dinner” treats and part of that is having a top of line oil for bread dipping. There are some oils that are great for cooking while not so much for dipping and Vice versa. This oil is good for both however, this particular oil is our absolute favorite and #1 choice for bread dips. Our friends and family all remark about how great my magic is for making my bread dips. Shhhhhh; the magic is in this “Oil”! 😉

The media could not be loaded. You want to cook with the healthiest and most flavorful ingredients. Well for olive-oils this is it. There is plenty of fraud out there and real cheap stuff that are as good as engine oil. This is one of the best we have ever tried. And for the price it is unparalleled.

The outstanding flavor and aroma in this AMAZING Greek Olive Oil far exceeds any I've ever had before. And I've been enjoying the highest-quality olive oil for decades!
