Works just fine after hours of play on location in an arcade- great for the price!
First off, I always disregard when people say get an "official" Gonbes. It's getting increasingly hard to find an "official"(whatever that means anyways) version of these converters. As far as I know I've only ever used 1 legit version, and have about 4-5 other "fakes" currently running video output in some of the machines here at work that I service. I don't even remember where I found an official one direct from Gonbes themselves(maybe here, maybe Al.iexpress?) Anyhow, after fidgeting in the on-screen menus and adjusting the clamp settings these typically do great. The menu language usually needs changed from Chinese to English as well. This time around though I was having a lot of jittering on the screen so I soldered a resistor into place between the board video output and the Gonbes sync connection which took care of that problem for good. I believe I used a 1kOhm resistor. Looks and plays great to me, little to no lag as far as I can tell!

It worked well. MGA was a bit fuzzy usable.

Works replacing CRT monitor for DDR Extreme Cabinet
Ordered this because my DDR Extreme CRT monitor is dying. It converts the 15khz VGA output of my DDR into true VGA signal that a modern monitor can display. Overall it seems to work ok. The language starts in non-english in the menu, so have to change that first. Then, the written instructions do not correspond to the on screen menu. It has no way to move the picture on the display. There is s menu item, not in the instructions but on the on screen menu, called ‘geometry,’ but it won’t activate, at least with vga input. Also my monitor had issues seeing the signal at first until i adjusted resolution settings, but sometimes on re-powering it loses the input resolution and you need to reselect it. Finally, colors aren’t the best or easiest to adjust, but it looks okay in the end after adjusting the monitor and screws on the board. Make sure you buy a dc power converter, i bought a simple 5v, 2a dc plug in adapter with multiple tips, the default tip fit the board, no cutting or soldering needed. The speed timing for ddr is perfect, didn’t need to adjust speed or delay at all. The picture is fine, better than the old CRT, but the colors are so-so. See the video for demo.

Works
Awesome product. Was getting a signal not found on my Dell monitor on my Ms Pac-Man machine, installed this and now it works perfectly

Works fine for debugging a Galaga board
Used it to debug a set of Galaga boards for a friend using an old 4:3 VGA monitor. Worked great. Initially the picture jiggled a bit, but after I soldered a wire onto the vertical sync (see photo) on the video board and attached it to VS (the yellow wire on the supplied cable) everything works perfectly. The default setting of Chinese is a bit annoying. The seller should include some instructions on how to change it.

Easy to use
I am an amateur at repairing electronics and used this on an old arcade game to replace the original glass tube monitor. It was fairly easy to connect and set up although I did watch a helpful video on YouTube about setting it up.

Works good
Easy to install! Provides a great picture. Watch a couple YouTube videos to learn how to set it up once it's installed. Provides an excellent alternative when you need to replace an old crt monitor with a flat panel TV or PC monitor. Can't get it to work on the old 5 card draw games though. I've heard that is common though.

Worked, but not well enough to keep
After reading review for the Mcbazel Arcade Game VGA RBGS RGBSHV to HDMI Game Video Output Converter and the Mcbazel Arcade Game RGB/CGA/EGA to VGA HD Game Video Output Converter, I decided to get both - hoping one would work. Neither did. The Mcbazel Arcade Game RGB/CGA/EGA to VGA HD Game Video Output Converter was able to produce video, but it was very dim compared to direct VGA out. I tried using it on two different PCBs with two different JAMMA harnesses, and the video was the same for both. There weren't any video artifacts or issues with with the picture, but even with the brightness turned to 100 the picture was a substandard dimness I considered unacceptable. I've returned both converters and am going a different route. From all the poor reviews of these boards I do not recommend this produce

I'll be using this as a base for a GBS-C build for my retro consoles. My original GBS8200 I bought from AliExpress a few years back (and subsequently stuffed into a drawer untested) turned out to be faulty when I came to build it this week. The cheapest I could find on there after tax and shipping was £27 delivered (and a 2-3 week wait). This one was £21 and change, and arrived lunchtime the next day. Once it arrived I unboxed it (a nice touch) and plugged it in - I'm happy to report that everything is up and running out of the box nicely with this one from Amazon. All the inputs are working as expected (which is more than I can say for my original one, which to begin with had zero output to display, and once I'd got that working recognised no inputs initially either!). So thank you to Amazon and the reseller Mcbazel for a great item that works as it should do, delivered the very next day at a great price! For anyone planning their own GBS-C build, I'd wholly recommend this!
