Good flavor & mixes well so long as you don’t use too much. Planning on trying as a cocoa substitute in a couple recipes.

I have finally been able to buy carob powder, better known as “kharroub” in my home country of Algeria, here in the US. Before I came across Soleil Foods, I used to bring carob powder and barley flour from Algeria each time I visited. I use them to make a breakfast mixture with extra virgin olive oil, and a little honey. It was a traditional breakfast that kept farmers and construction workers full for many hours back in the day in Jijel, the town where I was born. I use that same old recipe: three (3) tablespoons of barley flour, one (1) tablespoon of carob powder, extra virgin olive oil, and a little honey. You only need a little honey because carob powder is naturally sweet. It is a healthy alternative to the sugary sweets we crave. You feel full of energy and avoid sugar spikes. You can also add it to your smoothie. I really like this product.

got this to make my dog treats with and it works great for that. Haven't tried it in my smoothies yet but planning on it.

and this one was fantastic! ( First of all do NOT expect carob to taste like chocolate.) This powder is darker than others I've tried giving a richer taste. I love to mix it with vanilla yogurt for a rich dessert. Now I will say be careful when scooping it out as it is a rather fine powder and disperses into the air easily allowing it to be inhaled. That happened a couple of times. leaving me coughing until I slowed down my scooping. Now that it's getting cooler I'm looking forward to mixing it with hot milk!

The Carob tastes like carob and handles my chocolate craving. However, the packaging is very bad. The powder gets all over the seal and thereafter never seals completely. This has resulted in powder all over the drawer where I keep it. trying to properly close the package results in powder floating up at me and a fine coating of carob at whatever location I am trying to seal the package. I have gotten two different packages at different times and still have this problem. So product is lost. I am charitably giving 3 stars as the carob is as expected taste wise, but with the loss of product and mess, I ended up going with another brand. No similar problem with that one.

I add this carob powder to hot milk (I prefer almond milk) to make a drink that's tastes like hot chocolate - without the caffeine and other side effects some people have from chocolate. I also add a little oat milk creamer that has some brown sugar in it to give it some sweetness. It's a great product.

I used this to make my dog cookies that turned out amazingly delicious. Yes, I tried them myself 😋

I love this carob powder but it exploded in the Amazon bag and it is unusable.
