I ordered this & I'm using it as a curtain rod. High quality, easy installation, looks very nice, definitely rust resistant, & looks great on my window for my curtains. Highly recommend buying for a curtain rod or for use as a shower curtain rod.

This tension rod appears to be unique in simplicity. Most use a spring which needs to be correctly set to the right tension to hold the rod in place, and in my experience, the spring eventually rusts or fails. This rod uses a strong plastic "bolt" (for lack of a better word) that is friction fit at the user-adjusted length, with a simple twist of the rod. If you remove the inner rod from the outer one, you'll be able to examine this plastic bolt and get a better idea of how it works. Works great for me! I was so impressed after installation, I ordered a second one.

I bought this to put my Christmas garland on to put between my built ins. This worked so well. My Christmas garland is heavy! and it held it up all season, it was easy to secure between the two shelves and I did not have to use and adhesives which might be damaging to my painted built ins. This was a great use for the curtain rod and I was surprised it held all the weight of my garland which was heavily decorated!

A very nice looking rod that is holding up well as far as holding onto the curtain and maintaining a nice look. I ended up having to put a permanent rod holder (made for closet rods) in place on the shower walls to hold it, though. It came down during use - let's say my husband was less than pleased to be in the shower and have the rod and curtain fall down. However, it is made as well as any I saw in the stores, for a better price, and now that it is secured from falling, it's a nice replacement. The gasket that is supplied to hold the rod at the desired length does not stay in place well, which is why the rod fell. Our shower is fiberglass, so there is some give to the area of placement - if your walls are solid, I doubt this would be a problem - you would likely be able to tighten the spring enough without risking a crack in the fiberglass and eliminate the concern.

This product is flimsy and falls down frequently. After only a few months, the rod is now not functional at all. The Zenna company will not stand behind their shower curtain rod and are now trying to blame me for their flimsy product failing. I have owned and used tension shower curtain rods for a long time and this is the only one that has ever failed. It is not operator error. I would strongly recommend purchasing a sturdier shower curtain rod with a manufacturer that stands behind their product.

Purchased these as temporary curtain rods for my kitchen windows and slider (will eventually be installing blinds). I didn't want to drill holes for a regular rod, so thought I'd try these instead. They work perfectly! They are true-to-size (both windows and slider are 72" wide), but both rods fit with a few inches to spare, making the fit very sturdy. The only thing I had to do was rough the plastic end coverings up a bit with an emery board so they'd catch and stay on the wall. They've been up for almost a month and get pulled on daily as I open and close the curtains; neither has budged! Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the price, delivery, and quality of these rods. I would purchase again as well as recommend to family/friends.

A bit hard to figure out how to get it to adjust when you assemble it. It was not as easy as we thought it would be. The item ended up not fitting as well as expected it slid down easily.

Good! Strong and Easy install..

So we must have tried 5 different shower rods before this one - all the tension style. EVERY SINGLE ONE fell down within 24hrs and we returned it. But this one has not moved in months! Our shower surround is high gloss porcelain stone-look tiles, and this rod feels like it is screwed into the wall. Don't even both with other rods, get this one and never hear your curtain and rod crash down again.
