They can call it "glass" all they want, but these are acrylic plastic type straws. They bend and they don't break if you drop them. I was looking to purchase "real" glass straws (to eliminate the plastic smell), but was disappointed that acrylic plasticky straws showed up. Their marketing claims this is new type of glass, but in the end, they really are just plastic so don't be fooled! I have returned them unfortunately.
