Will using the super secret lube make chain last even longer or it only makes it quieter?

It’s supposed to make the chain and cassette last longer by reducing friction, not sure if it’s true; but after two months I will say shifting has gotten smoother, maintenance is easier, and I haven’t seen any chain wear using the chain checker. I ride 6 days a week between two bikes MTB and road, both bikes have the wax applied. One stand out aspect is dirt doesn’t stick or build up on the chain. I live in a very dusty area especially during summer. I’m a convert for sure.

Is this useful for gravel trails?

Yes, gravel is one of the best reasons I can think of to switch to Silca's hot melt chain lube. I ride a lot on crushed limestone trails (formerly railroad rights of way). That fine limestone grit is highly abrasive and quickly works its way into chains lubricated with regular "wet" lubes. Be sure to view the Silca videos to get the right technique and equipment. It's not cheap and relatively time consuming. I try to thoroughly clean and rewax my chains every 500 miles, but my expensive chains are lasting much longer and they're almost silent.

How many times can this be used/reused realistically?

So far for me: mine, one friend, two friend: 3 for now, however maybe 3-4 more. Don’t forget between full waxes use the wet wax

how long can this 1lbs wax for $42 last me? I do 7000 miles a year.

I think it should last about 2 years. I wax my chain every 300 miles and sometimes I dress my with super secret chain lube ($25 from Silca) to extend the wax.
