Every Day I Fight: Making a Difference, Kicking Cancer's Ass

Inspiring, Insightful
Stuart's battle with cancer was largely kept private until he neared his end. This book brings his tenacity and grit front and center for the reader to embrace. Throughout most of it I was thinking, "How in the world did he persevere like this?" interspersed with "What do I have to complain about?" It really made me look in the mirror and motivated me to press on through what I now see as the petty annoyances in my life.

Great read for all. Must read for those affected by cancer.
I read this book after my father was diagnosed with cancer. At the time, we did not know how much time he had (it turned out to be about 13 months). This book helped me better understand what my father was going through, what might be helpful, and what isn't helpful at all. This was an invaluable tutorial for something that none of us were prepared to deal with. Well written, extremely thoughtful, and amazingly raw. This is a wonderful read for anyone, but a must read for those of us dealing with the unimaginable. This book was truly a blessing.

Joy and pain
Was always a fan of Stuart Scott though I was unaware of his battle with cancer until close to the end of his life. The book does go into detail about his battle with the disease, but also chronicles his entire life. It is an enjoyable read in relation to his career and family. It is heartbreaking in relation to his battle with cancer. If you have known anyone fighting cancer, this book will give you a better understanding of some of their internal thoughts and fears.

Ecstatic reading!!!
I chose this book as a cancer survivor myself. I have two daughters and could relate to Stuart on many levels. After seeing the Espy awards, it was a logical choice!! R.I.P. Stuart Scott!!

just like Jimmy V stated
Cancer is indeed a killer. No one survives. Remission, sure but beating it, not yet, hopefully someday. However, between now and then, just like Jimmy V stated, never give up! Stuart , like Jimmy, is a beautiful example of never giving up; of fighting for what matters; living here and now, the present; enjoying those who matter most in our own life; cherishing every moment more than you did before the diagnosis. The air is sweeter, the grass greener, clouds whiter, everything, no matter how small is not insignificant. After the diagnosis, it is a whole new world!

The “TRUE” Fight About Cancer
Scott did an amazing job scribing his life and his fight with cancer. There are so many good nuggets in his story, but my favorite one what is his quote of allowing others to fight that fight for you.Scott’s personality was so much more than his ESPN persona. He was a family man first and a blessing to everyone he touched. A highly recommended read.

deep honest insightful
An honest, no holds barred account of living with cancer. It will make you laugh, make you cry but in spite of the subject- it will give you hope.I have a friend with terminal cancer who said the following about this book: he puts my feelings into words in a way that I can't.It reminds us to 'make the most of the dash '.
