Good buy
I received this as a gift. It is a tall ice cream maker and takes up a bit of space but it does make very good ice cream and works great.

Perfect memory maker
This ice cream maker is like a little time machine straight back to childhood summers. The wooden exterior has that charming, old-fashioned look—like the “real deal” from the good old days—and it instantly sets the scene for homemade treats and happy chaos in the kitchen. One of my favorite parts is that it comes with a manual mixer, which means you can proudly put the grandkids on churn-duty and show them how ice cream used to be made (a.k.a. the sweetest kind of “work”). And when everyone’s had their turn and you’re ready to wrap it up, you can switch over to the electric motor to finish the job with ease. It’s quiet, quick, and surprisingly efficient, and the barrel is roomy enough to make plenty of ice cream for a holiday gathering or family get-together. Ours has held up really well so far, and for the price, it feels like an excellent value—both for the dessert and the memories it makes.

Good product
Works well and I like the water overflow feature. It allows the melted ice water to drain instead of just filling up the ice compartment. It was broken when it arrived though. Still useable, but broken plastic.

Just Like the Good Ol' Days~
I bought this for my daughter and grandsons, who said it makes the best ice cream they ever had. Super easy to use, as long as you have lots of salt and ice.

Excellent affordable ice cream maker
I got this to make some homemade frozen custard to help use some of the extra eggs we get from having a small flock of backyard chickens. The recipes I found actually only fill this unit about half full, so I could easily scale up and make larger batches. Our fridge ice maker holds enough ice that I haven't needed to buy bagged ice for this and with the ice cream rock salt added, it has only taken around 30ish minutes to get to a soft-serve consistency. It is a little noisy if you are right next to it, but not so loud that we couldn't watch TV or have a conversation in the next room. We've made 2 batches and no concerns with durability at this point. Only drawback is see is the storage space when it is not in use. These style units are fairly bulky and it is not easy to stack anything on top of so it needs its own space.

Incompetence at its finest.
I don't know where to start with this and how badly it went wrong before I could even NOT use it. Also it is beyond me that it didn't even come with anything it was supposed to. 1. They failed to not only miss several pieces it seems nothing attached correctly. 2. Nothing attaches correctly so the device can not be set up correctly. 3. How do you miss pieces ... That literally makes it run is a skill beyond mine. I didn't think it was a talent to miss pieces for a machine but I mean this is America and it's run by 'special men'. 4. I tried several ways to get pieces to attache correctly but they fall right off and out when I flip them to be on top. 5. There is not bottom to hold the can. The container has a giant bump on the bottom and the metal can won't sit well. 6. The device is a joke and clearly someone who shouldn't be allowed to live with this low of an IQ but I'm not thrilled. 7. Lucky number 7! Also came with zero directions. I swear when humans go extinct will be the happiest day ever. Is it really that difficult to build a device that works, send all the pieces together and have it work? No apparently the seller is inadequate and incompetent. Don't know who or how this worked for anyone but this is garbage and a waste of money, time, effort and energy. Hard to say that this is a user error, even turned it on. It spun the metal can and the plastic pieces just fell out 🤣🤣 Tried to upload a video but this archaic app doesn't load. Note: I would leave infinity negative stars. One of my biggest issues with humanity is it's inability to create a functioning device. I think all our critical capable thinkers are a miss.

Works great!
It’s amazing how rich homemade ice cream is. Every recipe we have tried makes about a quart of ice cream but a little goes a long way. It’s wild. As far as the machine goes- it’s easy to set up, I love how it stops when the ice cream is finished churning- except for the last time we used it, all the ice cream was stuck to the paddle going round and round for way longer than usual but afterwards we realized that we forgot to put the metal tub into the freezer ahead to f time so that was user error. Follow the instructions and you’ll be good to go. I recommend using it outside or in a good sized sink because a lot of condensation builds up on the outside and the bucket itself is not watertight. Salty water cleanup isn’t difficult, just so much easier to let it leak out over something other than your kitchen counters (and onto the floor if you aren’t paying attention) We haven’t tried the hand crank, but it looks nice and solid.

Wow. Extremely frustrated. Just received my package and it is completely mangled, even though it was packed in a much larger box upside-down. I'm afraid to open it. This was a gift for my granddaughter. There aren't enough negative stars to give!!

The bucket leaks pretty bad so i had to set it inside another bucket. Alot of the parts are quite flimsy. Makes ices cream tho.
