Love how it rises and becomes full once you add water.
I call this magic soil. Not heavy but it rises and becomes full once you add water to it, which make a it very efficient. I’ve also seen a difference in my plants since I bought this. Keeps moisture very well. Nice and smooth to the touch. Great all around use for indoor plants.

Good for cannabis seedlings
Very well balanced for cannabis seedlings. No pH issues. No need to feed for months. It is coco based, so do remember that it can drain quickly. I did start a very weak high nitrogen additive as I was seeing a trend towards yellowing during veg. Grew Durban Poison and got good results in three gallon fabric pot. Did use Flower Stacker during third week of flower. My current White Widow seedlings are growing fast and big. Just Wonder Soil.....

Nice quality soil, a little challenging to handle
The soil itself is good quality and absorbs water really well. I will advise that when you open the bag, know that there will be a lot of very fine dust. If you move the contents in the bag, pour the bag, scoop the bag, squeeze the sides of the bag etc, you will produce a large mount of dense dust plume. Pouring the dry soil out the bag, e.g into a bucket, is not a good idea. It will kick up a huge amount of dust. You'll want to do this outdoors or with a mask on perhaps. I found it a bit better to carefully scoop some out and place the scoop low in the bucket and pour gently. Or if tipping the bag, make sure the dirt isn't falling a distance otherwise it will kick up a lot of dust. I also put a plastic bag over the bucket and poured in through a small opening, and then let it settle for a few minutes, because it really does fly all over the place. Adding water is interesting, the soil does indeed expand quite a lot. I would NOT say it expands to 5x. Mabe more like 2-3x. You'll also have to stir or turn the soil in order to get to the parts which are still dry underneath, sprinkle more water, keep turning etc, to get all the parts of the soil moisturized. Applying the water does help to cut down the dust. But even turning the soil and exposing dry soil beneath, as part of watering, will kick up some dust. Once the soil is reasonably expanded, using it is easy. I grossly underestimated how much soil I'd need. I got 3 bags and ended up having to get 6. Larger pots will eat it up quickly. It looks like a large bag in the picture but it's not that big.

Expands when wet
First off I bought this soil not reading up on it. It expands a lot. I put most of the bag in a large pot. I had to replant my plant again since the soil overflowed. That being said my plant is taking well to the soil now that its done expanding.

Small bags for the price.
I like this soil a lot and my plants are doing great but the bags are small. Drainage is perfect. The soil smells fresh and seems to be holding up really well. Plants are happy but growing slowly.
