Almost a molecular filtering ability!! WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY
Well, I changed the oil in my 2012 Ford Fiesta SES 5 speed manual today at 14188 original miles. My engine ought to be broken in by now. My three year factory warranty expired. Time to protect my investment for the long haul. This is my third oil change since I bought my car brand new. My previous two servicing's were done by my local Ford dealership. At the dealership prices. I suppose that the service techs used "Ford" products on my ride since they're a dealership......... Well back to the "Royal Purple" upgrade. After tricking out my Fiesta with the best that money could buy in the past, and after viewing all the available information that I could find, reading the car owner reviews, and seeing oil filters sawed in half, I decided that I would give "Royal Purple" a try. The 1.6L Ford Fiesta engine specs call for 4.2 quarts of 5w20 oil. After installing the new upgraded "Royal Purple" oil filter, I added the four quarts of Royal Purple 5w20 oil, and topped it off with .2 quarts of "Lucas Pure Synthetic" oil treatment.. I'm Very, VERY pleased with the results in my Ford Fiesta SES! My car runs so smooth and quiet that I have to listen to see if the engine is still running while driving down the road in gear! Now I'm not one to brag, but it DOES seem like there's MORE POWER. Whatever it is, I definitely noticed a faster acceleration without even trying to press the pedal harder to do it! This from a guy that has used over the last 40 years all the oils, gimmicks, gadgets, and snake oils on the market and some that are not even on the market anymore! This is an upgrade that went perfectly smooth, with no pain, and no modifications! After running the engine for about 3 to 5 minuets to circulate the new oil, I shut down the engine to check the oil level. Well that part was kind of hard to do. the oil on the dipstick had to be checked three times to make sure that I got it right. The oil level was perfect. The hard part was reading the dipstick! The oil was SO CLEAN that I could barely see it on the stick! I was surprised because the Royal Purple oil that I used is dark purple! I thought for sure that I would be able to see THAT on the dipstick! The filtering out of the color tells me that is one HELL of an oil filter people! Anybody that says Royal Purple products are bunk is sadly misinformed, or just plain stupid. I'll NEVER use any other oil or filter in my hot hatch!

Long Drain, High Efficiency, Looks Well Made
Long drain and high efficiency don't always go together, but according to RP, they do in this filter. Also RP does publish efficiency figures for it's oil filters, something many long drain competitors don't do, or when they do, it is easy to see they have traded efficiency for longevity. I do trust the RP figures as I have been using RP products with good, or better than expected, results for two years.

Great Filter For People Who Care about their cars
I am a car guy who loves his ride and is obsessed with keeping it running as long as possible. I also have experience rebuilding engines and I always recommend royal purple oil and filters. I have a 2001 4runner with 190,081 miles on it and while I was fixing a leaky valve cover seal I removed the valve covers and was amazed at how clean the top end was. I have seen alot of cars with sludge and grime but mine was spotless except for a purple tinge. Its a fact that an engine without sludge is more efficient and will last longer. These filters are very well built compared to the crappy fram ones you get from jiffy lube and other such places. They even have thicker metal so the canister dosent bulge(and loose some pressure) when the engine is hot!

Worth it
I understand Amsoil is better, but it’s very expensive and RP is easier to find. I use RP for the engine, but I’m about to convert the entire vehicle to RP (PTU case, transmission, and diff). The fluids originally placed in by ford are not very good for those of you who are aware of their PTU issues on ALL AWD vehicles of ford. RP is over engineered and a very good oil, the filter is great as well and very sturdy. I expect better MPG and shifting after I transition to RP transmission fluid. Overall, you spend the extra money for a reason and that’s because RP DOES NOT mess up. They’re customer service is very good as well. Spend the money, set it and forget it.

Looking for superior filtration with media
Looking for superior filtration with media, good flow (constant oil pressure) and quality anti drain back mechanism. So far, so good. Blackstone gets my oil sample every 10K miles so I can prove what proper care means. Not looking for extended life, only an idiot does that. Just like buying into "zinc" as the almighty savior for wear and tear. Engineers debunked that myth years ago but the sheep still flock. I get over 200K miles before selling off my rides (change your fluids - motors 5K, trans 30K and diffs 30K) since buying in the mid-80's. No leaks, no smoking, no slipping, great oil pressure and consistent performance. Quality in, is quality out.

ME GUSTO POR SU CALIDAD

This filter is easily twice the weight of a regular oil filter. Thicker metal walls, better filter material, back flow value & gasket. Best oil filter on the market in my opinion. Built for extended mileage use ( 8-10 thousand km ) with synthetic oil.
