Great Product, Honest Manufacturer
Having owned this blender for just over one year, at this point, I thought it prudent to write a review. My review has not been incentivised in any way, though I do recommend this unit. We have used the CleanBlend every day, since it arrived in January of 2025 —predominantly for veggie smoothies — and it’s performed beautifully. Used properly, this blender handles everything from dates to frozen broccoli easily. The blades are sharp, and we’ve been able to blend tough ingredients to a smooth consistency. About eight months in, I reached out to the manufacturer, via a message through Amazon, concerning an issue with the original pitcher. They were extremely responsive, and replaced the pitcher right away. The new pitcher has had no issues, and has been used at least daily, since. Tips: 1. Actually read the manual — even if you know how to use a blender, just take the time to get to know this machine, in particular. 2. Make sure to add enough liquid. 3. The unit cools itself best at higher speeds — so start slow, but so long as the ingredients are circulating, don’t be afraid to gradually increase the speed. 4. Wash the pitcher immediately after use, and allow to dry completely before putting blender away. 5. Reach out to the manufacturer with any issues; they are very responsive and do stand by their product. Just over one year in, this was an excellent purchase. I feel confident in the product and the manufacturer, and the value for money truly cannot be beat.

Powerful blender
We bought one of these blenders about 20 years ago, a 2 HP one, and it is still working fine and blends much better than the cheaper ones. I don't know if this one is the same brand, but it is 3 HP, and it is very powerful and totally commercial grade. I just now finally loaded it up with bananas, pineapple, strawberries, and coconut milk to about 2/3 full. I turned it on for the first time, not knowing if I would need the whatchamacallit to hammer it in. No need. The bananas and pineapple and strawberries were soft enough for it to get started right away. It took only a couple of seconds to blend it all. I left it on for another 15 seconds or so just in case. What a great smoothie! This machine is a monster. I'll have to test it with the apples and cantaloupe for which I had to use the whatchamacallit pole dabber to get the stuff twirling at the beginning. This one comes with this whatchamacallit thing, which is why I bought it instead of the cheaper ones. My other one has this device, and it worked well. And the three horsepower is pretty good. I poured the contents from the mixer to an old half gallon plastic milk container, and it filled to the top, and I put it in the fridge. Good enough smoothies for several days. This is a monster blender, well built, and with good controls for variable speeds and such. It should last a lifetime. It is money well spent.

A very reliable blender, good for smoothies
I've had this blender for over a year and am very happy with it. It's sturdy and has plenty of power to make good smoothies, my main use for it, and blended drinks with ice cream like grasshoppers. I'm careful to add the ingredients in the order called for in the instruction manual, and add ice cubes after blending the other ingredients. The smoothies have a very nice texture and no ice chunks. I'm not sure the result would be as good if all the ingredients were put in at the same time, though. The blades are very sharp. The plastic pitcher is large (holds 64 oz.) and durable, and is easy to clean by adding warm water, dish soap, and then blending for a minute or so. This blender is much quieter and works better than a Ninja Professional Plus blender I had before, but you can't honestly call it quiet. At least I don't have to literally plug my ears with this one.

Solid blender.... but....
I've owned dozens of blenders so I have a lot of experience with them--both consumer and commercial. This CleanBlend is Quieter than the Vitamix I owned before it... and powerful as hell, but recently it's been taking longer to blend smoothies containing frozen bananas and ice. This morning there were still a couple of unblended bananas at the bottom--not good. I do recall that the Vitamix pretty much ground everything up in seconds... this is progressively taking longer. I have an extended warranty I might need to use it to swap it out. It does blend oats well and I'm not ready to return it yet... but I'm not yet sold on it being better or as good as a Vitamix just yet.

Full circle
I wanted a blender for making smoothies. That was all really. I have made ice cream as well and I am getting a little more adventurous now. I know that you can make all sorts of things with blenders now, but my review is basically of the Cleanblend as my daily smoothie machine. I have used Blendtec and VitaMix blenders and while there is some variation in the final product the difference between those and the Cleanblend if anything is negligible. I took a chance on this because the price was significantly less and the reviews were positive. I am very happy with the purchase and I have been using the blender daily for over a month with no issues at all. I would definitely recommend this product. The only thing I could say negative about the Cleanblend in comparison to the others mentioned earlier is that the warranty is much shorter (2 years). I am not terribly concerned about this though. I feel like I got great value in this purchase regardless. *** Update *** And I spoke too soon. Plastic is shredding off of the piece of the base that spins, it makes an awful noise and the base tries to spin while in operation. This all began while making a typical smoothie. I should have bit the bullet and bought the new VitaMix model at Costco for $374 (it also has a 7 year warranty). I guess I will try to have it replaced, but I would rather not have it now to be honest. Trying to save $174 on something I intend to use for years was not the best decision. I left it as 2 stars because there is the possibility I got the bad unit, I don't know. I was happy initially so I can't give it 1 star for breaking. *** 2nd Update *** Cleanblend's service could not have been better. Initially I wanted a refund and I was going to buy a different blender, but they were so quick with responses and accommodating that I decided to stick with it. I have my new blender now, they did not make me ship the defective one back and I received a refund. Could not ask for more, not to mention that all took place in a short period of time. I went back to my original 5 star rating because the product itself I am very happy with. I am going to assume that I happened to receive one defective unit, they went above and beyond taking care of it so I will base my rating on the working product. It has a very potent electrically powered motor with what I would imagine is a fair number of moving parts and stress bearing parts. Fails are inevitable. Hopefully I get years of use out of my blender now.

Excellent performance, great value, superb customer support
We got our blender just over three years ago and have loved it. We had a KitchenAid we'd purchased here for $80 that finally died after six years and we used it enough that we wanted to upgrade with our next one. After doing a bunch of research, we settled on the Cleanblend 3HP (the KitchenAid was 0.9HP). It had the features we wanted: high-powered motor, all metal drive for durability, 64-oz jar, long warranty. And it was at the edge of affordable; there's a huge jump between the blenders in the mid-range price tier like this one and the high-end, nearly 100%. I remember getting it and it felt like it should cost twice as much as our KitchenAid. It was heavier, the controls had a nice weight to them, and it was obviously well constructed. It was solid. It's been excellent, handled everything we've thrown at it, and I am positive we made the right choice. I took one star off the blending power because I think it's a valid criticism that the *low* power doesn't get low enough. But I don't think you can get a blender that at high power does a better job than this with things like nuts and berry seeds. However... after three years, the motor died. It started throwing our 20 amp breaker occasionally (tried on multiple circuits) and degraded quickly over two weeks to the point that if we turned it on, the breaker flipped. So I had to take a step I always dread: contact a company about a warranty issue. Cleanblend's policy is pretty simple: everything is covered by a five year warranty and if you have a problem, just send an e-mail (which I prefer over phone calls anyway). I sent my e-mail and someone quickly got back to me. I had two interactions: the first confirming the details of the problem I was having and the second to get my shipping info. I had my replacement blender in less than a week from first e-mailing support. There simply isn't a smoother consumer support process (maybe Apple). The customer support rep of course said that "Cleanblend has a very low defect rate", but I believe them: you can't have a process that easy and still make money if this happens a lot. I'm confident that our replacement will last even longer. Before contacting customer support, I prepared for the possibility of having to buy a new blender. Glancing at The Wirecutter, it looked like the research I did three years ago is still valid. The Vitamix is still the best, but for over twice the price you're only getting a somewhat longer warranty and a wider variation of speeds (feathering pulse isn't as effective, but I can live with it). I might have gone for the Oster, but... I probably would have just gotten another Cleanblend and gambled that the new one lasted longer. It's been a great blender. Luckily, that was all wasted effort. If the replacement dies in two years, I'll get a new one no question, knowing that I won't have to think about it again for at least five years. But I expect it to last quite a bit longer than that. And that's a large part of why I spend more on a product: I put a lot of research in to what I buy and once I've made my choice, I don't want to have to think about it for a long time. If you're taking the time to read all of this, then you're in one of two camps: you're debating whether it's worth it to spend this much on a blender versus just getting something cheaper or you're debating whether you want to spend more on a top-end blender versus saving some money and getting this. In either case, if you have to think about it, I think the answer is easy: just get the Cleanblend. It is more than worth the price.

I took one for the team, don't believe the hype!
Here's the bottom line: Does it blend stuff? Yes. Is it a PITA to use? Yes. Is it a PITA to clean? Yes. Is it a PITA to store? Yes. Does it work any better than a $60 blender? No, in many ways it's worse. Will it last longer than a $60 blender? Almost certainly not. Is it worth $190, or it's notional list price of $500(!!!!!)? Hellllllls no. Why does it have 4.5 star rating on amazon? It honestly boggles the mind. Everything about this product's marketing is misleading, it is an over-priced approximation of a blender with crappy design and crappy build quality posing as a commercial-grade appliance. This thing would not last an hour in a commercial kitchen. The shape of the container interior is oddly square, which tends to cause things to get stuck while blending, the flimsy plastic "wand" provided broke the first time I used is, trying to persuade the blender to blend some ice. Despite the gigantic size and footprint of this thing, the way the container sits on the base is extremely unstable. Any attempt to agitate the container on the base causes them to decouple from each other, resulting in metal shavings flying everywhere as the motor and blade fittings grind against/ destroy each other until the container is removed completely or the motor is switched off. Speaking of the motor, it does not have enough torque to adequately blend at low speed - so you have to turn the speed up to get the thing going and then try to feather it down to the lower speed, basically defeating the purpose of a low speed setting. The blade assembly is not removable from the container, making it extremely hard to clean and prone to leakage over time. I'll translate "BPA free" container: it's plastic, also hard to clean. BPAs or no, when removed from their packaging both container and wand reeked of with a noxious chemical/ plastic-y odor, even after a thorough washing. The container is too tall to fit in a standard consumer washing machine. The lid of the container is hard to remove. The center of the lid is apparently intentionally designed to let air escape while blending - this unfortunately also allows liquid to escape as well, so removing the container and shaking it when the contents become stuck (most of the time) is not a great option if you don't want to be doused with smoothie ingredients or whatever. I made the mistake of assuming that a blender priced at $180 (let's not even get into $500, uhhh... yeaaaah, about that...) would at the very least be a durable and high-functioning unit. It just isn't. And yes if it's not clear already, I feel ripped off.

Good price/good power/good choice
So far I'm really liking this blender. I was concerned about the vessel shape not being easy to clean since it's not round but it is actually easier to clean than the round Breville I had previously. The unit is quite large but it's not too heavy (also a surprise). I've made smoothies and soup in it. Happy with my purchase...and I deliberated for a long time. I think I made the right choice.
