This stuff works!
I put this stuff on in the beginning of the summer and waited the entire summer to do my review. Here's how it went. I sprayed this on my hostas, which last year the deer made their personal salad bar. Okay I got to be up front here and tell you this stuff stinks to high heaven. It smells like some sort of urine. Really strong. I told my husband to be careful not to get it on his clothes because he kept walking past the hostas and I said if you get this on your clothes, I'm throwing them away. They will not be brought into the house. But I had high hopes. Day two I go out to check the hostas and there are so many flies there I can't believe it. Everywhere. But only on the leaves where I sprayed - they didn't bother me at all. I thought uh-oh. This might not be what I want. Day three still flies. Maybe a little bit less. Day four flies but less. Day five until the end of the summer, no smell and my hostas made it all the way through the season unscathed . I never had to spray them again and all the leaves are still there! I didn't believe that I wouldn't have to spray them again after rain, but you don't! And we got a lot of rain in Michigan this year. So I would say five stars and I would definitely purchase this again. Thank you for saving my hostas. Next year. I'm putting it on more of my plants because obviously the deer moved on to the other plants in my yard.

This One Really Works!
We now live in Central Oregon and enjoy frequent visits from our local deer. However, the shrubbery damage can be considerable. Last year, we planted a row of several Arborvitae bushes and lost them all... these plants are affectionately known locally as deer candy. After a bit of online research and reading customer reviews on Amazon, I rather skeptically purchased this product. This year we replanted the same plants and I applied Bobbex once each month. Happily, our shrubbery has gone untouched the entire season. The most informative review of this product came from an online article summarizing a Connecticut study of deer repellants http://www.motherearthnews.com/organic-gardening/deer-repellent-zb0z1208zmat.aspx#axzz3Gz7iy6hh The results showed Bobbex had the highest effectiveness rate at 93% -- pretty good in my book. The biologic ingredients are disgusting and are apparently repulsive to the deer. Naturally, the smell is terrible, so do not spill it or get it on your clothing. But, once the spray is applied and dries, the stench disappears (to our noses), but remains effective as a deer repellent. We found the Bobbex Deer Repellent to be effective, safe, affordable and easily applied from the handy spray bottle of premix. One 32 oz. bottle was enough for an entire year for our front yard plantings. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and have recommended this product to our neighbors as well.

Does the job
It does what it should. It keeps deer away. I wish the spray was a bit more dependable

It works!
Only thing I've found - and believe me, I've looked - that actually works. I have extensive plantings and the deer were treating it as a buffet. No more. Does require frequent reapplication as it's water soluble but very effective.

You will NEVER need another deer repellant!
This has kept deer from eating my hostas and just generally walking through our flower beds during this past spring and summer. Our small "urban" area of a bigger town has a fair population of extremely domesticated deer who will walk right up to a construction site (with newly born twin fawns) and sniff around flower beds under ladders. They walk across our streets with a regal air and take their sweet time, not caring if there are cars waiting for them. The only time I kept a doe and her twins from munching my neighbor's front door rose bush (prior to Bobbex) was using my water hose to blast the face of the doe, who didn't care for it and left with fawns following. For those reviewers who describe the smell as "death"... I don't get it. How do you describe the smell of death unless you're around decaying bodies of animals or humans? I grew up in a rural area and my grandfather was a cattleman and owned a butcher shop. Trips to the rendering plant were sometimes required where I was left in the truck but the smell is truly unpleasant. I'm careful not to spray Bobbex when the wind is blowing and wear gloves, but other than that, I don't need to wear anything special or live in fear that I'm going to smell like the stuff. I've also lightly sprayed other plants and trees with leaf laden limbs AND the ground so they have absolutely no desire to walk where I don't want them nor find a nice place to plop down and spend the night. It's wonderful and the smell doesn't permeate our yard either.
