7th time lucky?
After around 7 or 8 of the cheap ones died over the last few years I finally went for this one. Specs are brilliant and the few reviews good but I was afraid that despite the price it'll go the same way. Bought in April and is working great, only 2 months in for now but the way it works is so so much better. With previous ones the risk of scalding was ever present when we turned the tap on while this one never goes above the set temperature. Temperature is really easy to adjust with good flow although I only use it for a kitchen sink. Bottom line, very happy with it for now, fingers crossed will last long enough to justify the price.

Fantastic quality
Went through 2 Triton Instaflow before buying tuis. Such a difference! No more warm luke or fridge cold water. Should've bough straight away.

It is quite good but;
One thing that the listing doesn't say is that a 6/8 KW appliance is not something that you plug into your ordinary socket. It is like any shower unit and requires a 6 to 10mm2 wire -depending on the distance-direct to the consumer unit/fuse board, so unless you are an electrician, you need one to do the wiring. For some peculiar reason, they have drilled in 2 of the four fixing screws, and similarly, you need to cut out the inlet for two water pipe inlets. It's a poor, lazy design, and even using Dremel, I find it rather difficult to cut through without breaking it, never mind the debris you are going to introduce to the unit! You can set the max temperature and the power using two internal jumper switches. For the temperature considering that you can adjust it using the knob on the facia and also set it as two defaults, using the jumper switch seems to be a bit of a faff. Although I initially set the jumper switch to recommended 43 degrees, I found that to be too low, taking longer time for water reaching the taps. I suggest 48 degrees is more reasonable for usual hand washing. Finally, if your hot water pipes are within reach consider putting pipe insulation on them, it would waste less energy water warming up the pipes every time you turn the tap on.

Don’t waste your money
I purchased this water heater specifically for my bathtub’s hot water supply. The product description stated that it is suitable for showers, so I reasonably assumed it would also be capable of filling a bathtub. I also selected this particular model because it was one of the more expensive options available, which led me to believe it would be of higher quality and performance. However, the performance has been extremely poor. The hot water runs normally for around five seconds before dropping to a weak trickle, rendering it practically unusable. I contacted your technical department regarding this issue, and they advised that the only way to achieve better water pressure would be to install a three-phase supply and purchase a different water heater altogether. I find this explanation unacceptable, especially considering that a standard electric shower operating at the same kilowatt rating provides a strong, consistent flow of water without requiring a three-phase setup. Given the high price point of this unit and the misleading product description, I consider this purchase a waste of money and not fit for purpose. I would appreciate it if you could review this matter and advise on how you intend to resolve it.

Can't install due to design fault
Waisted a whole day trying to get the hot water inlet to meet the brass pipe from the heater element. There's a 3mm gap and only a 1mm fibre washer! Contacted UK technical but no resolution so far. This is the 8KW version, I also have the 12KW version and that has a similar issue but not as bad. The design tolerance is really poor for such an expensive product. There's also no adjustment available, it either fits or it doesn't, and it doesn't! UPDATE: I eventually had to resolve the issue myself by removing the brass fitting from the device, heating it up with a gas burner and then pushing into the plastic housing so it melted it's way in an extra 3mm! Not for the faint hearted but it did solve the problem.
