Q: I cannot close the holes

I had to use hot glue to close the holes. It worked well enough but still not great.

Q: If I didn't fill it with anything, is it super light then? I want to use it for my toddler for Halloween.

Yes! I haven't put anything in ours & my 3 old has no problem with it, it works just fine without anything in it.

Alyssa ~ They are for Lil Toddlers. It comes exactly as shown ~ One complete Dumbbell with three colored weights on each side, that can be filled with sand or water to make them heavier as the child grows. They are adorable. I remember when I watched by three year old open them and the big Ohhhhhh. A very Cute Product.

Cute /mommy & daughter workout bonding time

Cute. I did not fill it. The taps for one of kept popping out. So I’d recommend gluing if you do choose to fill it. Bought it so my daughter can “workout” with me safely
