Q: Do i need nail prep liquid before I apply base coat?

Thanks for your question,here is the instruction for reference: Step 1: Clean Nails then trim nail surface as normal manicure process. Step 2: Fully shake up the polish, it can make the polish color be balanced. (Important) Step 3: Apply a thin layer of Base Coat and cure under nail lamp. Step 4: Apply 1st layer of Gel Nail Polish and cure under nail lamp again. Step 5: Apply 2nd layer of Gel Nail Polish and cure under nail lamp again.(Recommended but not necessary) Step 6: Apply No Wipe Top Coat/Matte Top Coat and cure under nail lamp again. Or regular Top Coat but remove the tacky surface with cotton soaked with cleanser or 95°alcohol after curing. Hope that helpful for you.

I think it’s hit or miss. I would just try them all out and see which ones works. The purple/pink worked really well for me. It the pink/blue is more like a light blue/dark blue and it only worked in extreme cold. Even then just barely. So, short answer no, you aren’t missing anything.
