I find this bladder so superia to the Camelbak type i have always used before. Much easier to fill and clean. Only downside if any is no lock off on the bite valve.

You need an engineering degree to work out how to open this 🤣. Thankfully my daughter has one so was able to save me from going into complete meltdown at not being able to work out how to open it. The QR code was useless.. but ….. once I knew how it opened it is a really good bladder pack and easy to clean. Took it out on an 8 mile run this morning and no leakage whatsoever and really easy to suck the drink from the tube.. no nearly passing out just to get a dribble. I’ve bought many cheap bladder packs over the years and they are rubbish. So in a nutshell - highly recommended

Seemed like good design at first. However it is let down by two things... Removing the hose connector from the valve is so tough half the time you end up removing the hose from the connector itself (and yes I have applied silicon as advised in the manual). Second it doesn't always seal, even with the connector fully in and clicked it often leaks leading to a soggy back. It's awkward to fill as well. Back to a CamelBak for me which are frankly better designed.

Why is it so frustrating getting this EVOC hydration bladder open at first use?I had been used to the relative simplicity of Camelbak hydration bladders but having bought a new EVOC backpack I nearly tore this £30+ companion bladder apart while learning how to open it the first time. If you read around it seems that similarly designed bladders aren't much different.The EVOC supplied 'fact sheet' (via a QR code on the box) isn't helpful in this regard either, being largely a catalogue of the design features. They need to produce a video to show how the first use opening is supposed to be done.I found that it helped to connect the drinking tube and fill the bladder with air so it becomes more obvious where the seals are. Once done though, it's done.It is easy to keep clean. The design lends itself well to this.I bought this for use when cycling and in general use the valve delivers fluid well. However I found the open/close mechanism of the twist valve fiddly to operate, requiring both hands. This is not something I'm used to. Perhaps the designers envisaged it being open all the time. Maybe time will loosen this up but the previous bite valve closure I'd used was only ever a one-handed operation. Simple. Thankfully they can be swapped over.All-in-all I regret spending so much money on this product as it has to be modified for me to use it as I'd like, or prefer.
