Hot neutral taste. Very, very good.
Really good stuff. The food gets hot without any significant change in taste or texture. I have been buying this brand for years starting on a dive trip to Belize.

This is the best hot sauce I've ever had
The flavor is so good. I've tried a lot of hot sauces, and I haven't found anything that compares to this. If you want hot sauce that really tastes good, not just hot sauce that serves as a carrier for heat, this is for you. In my experience, these 4 maria sharp's hot sauces are all the same excellent flavor, but with different levels of heat. Here is how hot I rate them as of 2014 (2015/2016 orders have been less spicy, see bottom paragraph for details): **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce MILD - very mild heat. I had trouble detecting it, but my more sensitive friends said they could feel it. **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce HOT - Hot. slightly hotter than tapatio. I highly recommend this level to most people. It's a good level of heat for people who want some heat in their food. **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce FIERY - my favorite level of heat. About as hot as black label (extra hot) valentina hot sauce. Don't order this unless you've actively sought spicy hot sauces. **Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce BEWARE - I'm pretty resilient to spice, but this was too much for me. I could only put 3-4 drops on a bite, and even that was making me all sweaty and uncomfortable. I only recommend this for people who eat habaneros and feel like they aren't too bad. If you're *just* looking for really spicy hot sauces, you could get this, but honestly, you're wasting your money. There are hotter hot sauces than this out there. They don't taste as good, but they are cheaper. The other Marie Sharp's varieties I really didn't like as much. They are definitely quality hot sauces, but when you get the sampler pack and try these 4, it's hard to justify ordering the other ones. There's definitely some batch to batch variation in the eat, and either I've gotten a few weak batches recently (late 2015- mid 2016), or they've taken "fiery" and "beware" down one step on my list. The last "fiery" batch I ordered was on par with Tapatio in terms of heat, so I've been happily ordering "beware" more recently, though the batches I've had don't really deserve the "beware" that's printed on the label. I haven't ordered "hot", so I don't know if it's weaker, too. Even with the variation in heat, I can't rate this stuff any less than 5 star because it's so delicious.

Hot sauce that's both hot AND delicious!
I first discovered Marie Sharp's from a college roommate who swore by it. After trying it on homemade tacos, I was hooked. When I no longer lived with that roommate, I tried making the same tacos with Tapatio and the results were, quite frankly, disastrous. (To avoid being unfair, I will say that I enjoy Tapatio in my chili). The original recipe Marie Sharp's truly does differ from other hot sauces in both flavor and quality. It is fairly spicy, more so than Tabasco, in my opinion, but what really counts is the actual taste. Prior to trying this stuff, I never thought of hot sauce as a flavor enhancing ingredient, but Marie Sharp's certainly is. It's definitely worth a try if you are at all inclined to spice up your food with hot pepper sauce. Note that I can tolerate a moderate degree of heat, so if you are a hot pepper aficionado, you will probably find this stuff to be fairly weak. However, if you are very sensitive to that kind of spice, I would just try a couple of drops on your food first. As a bonus, I'll mention my simple taco recipe which I love to serve with this sauce: For 1 serving: 4 6" white corn tortillas 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil 1/2 14oz can pinto beans, drained and rinsed, and heated (or cook up some dried beans in advance) Sour cream Shredded pepperjack cheese Marie Sharp's hot sauce Fry up the tortillas in the olive oil in a small cast iron skillet until they are stiff, but flexible. Spread with sour cream. Distribute the pinto beans among the tortillas. Sprinkle with pepperjack cheese and Marie Sharp's to taste. Enjoy! This is an easy and quick meal that I make on busy days where I don't have time to prepare anything in advance. But without the Marie Sharp's, it's just not the same.

Great hotsauce
I actually purchased a sample of these when I was in belize. Was very pleased to find it was for purchase in the us. Many hot sauces just burn for the sake of burning with no or bad flavor. This has a good level of spice but also has great flavor as well.
