I own this oil. I love how it smells — clean, floral, light woodsy, very Oribe — and it feels rich and silky without being greasy. The consistency is lighter than Moroccanoil but thicker than Kérastase Elixir Ultime. It glides through the hair beautifully, especially when you press it into your ends after styling or use a drop or two on damp mid-lengths before blow-drying. Compared to others: • Shu Uemura Essence Absolue is richer, great for thick/coarse hair, but can feel heavy on fine strands. • Kérastase has slip and elegance, but it disappears fast unless you layer it with other products. • Moroccanoil has the most weight, best for rough textures but not for daily layering. • L’ANZA (my longtime go-to) gives more structure and UV protection. • Oribe Gold Lust? It’s luxury, lightweight, and excellent for dry ends, color-treated hair, and finishing touches when you want your hair to feel soft and polished — but not overloaded. This oil is best when your hair is not soaking wet—use it as a final polish or a mid-week refresh. You don’t need a full pump. One drop goes a long way, especially on fine hair. This is a wonderful product that creates new life and moisture back into hair. My hair absorbs this oil and loves it. I decided to try oiling my hair. Tried other oils but they all seemed too messy and too much. This one is perfect. I have used other Oribe products and overall have found you can’t go wrong with this brand. They really put your hair health as a priority. I have had a major change in my hair health since I started using this line. Every product has the Oribe scent I could recognize anywhere. My husband compliments the way my hair smells since I started using these products. The softness and shine of my hair has improved. All Oribe products are more expensive but I have found I can buy ten other products or one good one. I’m a hair product junky and have gone the hair snob route but in the long run I have fewer better products, less clutter and better hair.

My hair has needed a little umph lately and I heard really good things about this product. I’ve only tired one other Oribe product and like it so I thought I’d research more of the line. . After some research, I decided to try it. It’s worked wonders! I use it on damp hair and then blow dry and style as usual. I’ve had a hard time with other hair oils because they weigh down my hair, and make it too oily to style. This is NOT the case with this. It actually helps hold the style and curl. My hair looks and feels so healthy, shiny and soft. I will be buying the bigger bottle because I’ve seen such a difference in my hair. I’m not a daily hair washer and this has helped keep my hair from getting too oily and dirty to where I haven’t even had to use dry shampoo on the non wash days. A little of this goes a long way and it’s been safe on my color treated hair. It also smells amazing! Just buy it! You won’t be disappointed.

I’m fast falling in love with Oribe products. As someone who was a loyal Aveda user for over 10 years, switching brands wasn’t something I took lightly—but Oribe has really impressed me so far. I’m still in the process of figuring out which specific line works best for my thick hair, and to be honest, I wish there was some kind of online quiz or guide to help match your hair type and goals to the right products. It can be a little overwhelming with so many amazing options to choose from. That said, every product I’ve tried so far has been high quality, beautifully scented, and leaves my hair feeling soft, nourished, and salon-level polished. Even though I’m still narrowing down my go-to favorites, I’m enjoying the process and really happy with the results so far. If you’re on the fence, I’d say give it a try—especially if you’re looking for a luxe upgrade to your haircare routine!

Having colored blonde hair, which is very thin, AND sewn-in extensions, hair oil is a must. I have tried all the kinds ranging from very cheap drug-store to the more high-end luxuries products, like this one. Although it is pricy and the bottle is relatively small, the bottle lasts me most of the year and a little really does go a long way. Little to no scent, which I prefer. Controls my frizzy ends. This is worth the money in the long run!

Here’s the thing…I don’t want to love this product because it’s so expensive, but I DO! I’ve had extensions for almost a decade and if you know you know…a good hair oil is key for longevity and shine! I’ve tried dozens of hair oils that are either too heavy, contain too many silicones and leave build up, too thick and sticky—this product is none of that. It is incredibly lightweight but very moisturizing. It soaks in so well and never leaves that greasy or sticky feeling. It’s light enough to use on a daily basis and does well on both wet and dry hair. It claims to offer some heat protection as well, but I always use an additional heat protectant prior to blow drying or curling. The bottle itself is plastic, which is fine, but for the price…I guess I would have expected a little more substantial packaging. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this product other than it’s pricey…but it works so well.

The carton box was with no seals, damaged and open, and the container appeared to have a reduced amount of product. Given that this is an expensive item, I am concerned about the quality and authenticity of the product.
