Ok, first off let me say this is a great kit. Well made, no issues. This is well worth the money. That said, unless you have 2 continuous walls you need lighting, you're going to need more kit. What I mean by that is you will need corners, T junctions, extensions and maybe some power splitters. I'll explain. Plan well in advance where you want the lights to go, do it on paper and create a layout bearing in mind where your power outlet is. Now without even seeing your plan, I can guarantee that you have corners. right? Well you could just feed the light tape around the corner, but try that with a ribbon or a flat tape, it kinks up and doesn't lay flat. The lights strip will do the same. Count how many corners you have and buy sufficient 'corner pieces' to lay everything flat. T pieces are useful too, especially if you're planning to go around the back of a TV or monitor where it isnt going to be at the end of a run. You might need to leave gaps between furniture or around parts you don't want lighting, that's where you need extenders. Don't worry, it's not as daunting as it sounds doing the wiring. The tape comes with lots of sections highlighted by scissors logo where you can cut it into sections and one of the contacts has a + symbol on so you know you're not mixing the polarity of the strip. My advice is to switch on and check after every connection you make to ensure continuity. It's a lot easier than waiting til the end and finding out there are bad connections. The end results are great. The sound reactive changes work well, the remote is easy to use, the colours are bright and effective and the auto mode scrolls through the spectrum really nicely. The adhesive on the tape is good, but the remote sensor less so. You may need to use a bit of carpet tape to secure that in line of sight. All in all, impressed with these for the money.

Bargain price when bought worked well

You get extra connection which you cannot remove, but otherwise easy application. For king size bed covers around 90% of bottom (6 meters would be perfect). I bought 5m.

These are two lengths of 7.5m RGB LEDs mounted on a standard flat self-adhesive backed tape. They can be cut to length at the marked cut points only. I also purchased a set of aluminium profiles(trunking) with translucent covers to improve the overall look of my installation within the confines of the conservatory. Fixing was simply a case of running it within the trunking. It’s a more aesthetically pleasing finish than having the Leds tape on show in broad daylight. The Led driver/controller is a bit bulky due its functionality. It has two short leads,75mm length , with plug connectors for connecting to the two 7.5m led strips and one other short cable that is the remote control receiver (infrared type) which needs line of sight to work with the supplied remote control. Remote control is supplied with two batteries, one is already fitted and one spare. A power supply adapter with about 1.5m length of of twin wire is supplied. For my installation, this is too short by about 1m and will need to be extended. For the time being, I’m allowed to make do with an unsightly extension lead. Fitting of the separately purchased aluminium profiles takes a bit of time , however the overall appearance is definitely worth it. The controller has a ’music’ selection which very sensitive to any sound and normal voice provides visual entertainment. Tried them out with the song ‘We will rock you’ by Queen and the lights sound reactive display is very pleasing.

The power supply for these lasted 13 months of intermittent use and then failed. Purchased the same product again, fitted the power supply and everything worked again. The new power supply looks less well made then the original, so lets see how long it lasts. Fitted these to grandsons bunk beds to illuminate these at night and they love them. Easy ti fit with self adhesive backing and connections simple. Remote control a bit hit and miss to change colours, but boys like one colour so I simply switch these on and off. A year of operation thus far without a problem

Easy to set up and use. Great lighting for my stairs as it is on base of handrail. This was bought as previous one died but very simple to install and use, either with app, or remote. Very happy.

Great product with lots of colours and different settings. Downside is that the lights are always lit very dimly even when in the 'off' mode. Only way to totally turn off is at the plug
