These are GREAT vanilla beans! They came sealed and vacuumed to ensure the quality and freshness - they smelled amazing, were moist enough to work with and not super dehydrated. I was able to slice them down the middle easily for my homemade vanilla extract. I will definitely be ordering these again when it comes time to make more vanilla extract! (I posted a photo of 4 of them split and submerged in 80 proof vodka after 1 week soaking.)

I make my own vanilla once a year and have been very satisfied with the quality that these beans give my vanilla. This package made enough for two quart-sized jars. The vanilla is so fragrant and makes our baked goods delicious. Would recommend to others.

These are the best. Perfect for home made vanilla and many other delicious creations. I re-purchased these to be used in making vanilla sugar. I have also used in creating flavored butters and I have my own vanilla bean paste which is great added in a wide variety of dishes. These vanilla beans are so flavorful and they smell great. I have used whole or split open and scraped out the deliciousness depending on my intended use. These are fresh and have a great texture. Making your own products is so much better than store-bought when using these premium vanilla beans.

Excellent beans. I use for making small bottles of my own vanilla extract. I give as gifts and these beans are perfect and great value. I have bought several packages and all arrive the same - well packaged and fresh - no dried out beans. I will buy again and recommend.

4 stars. Because of size and lack of how many ounces you’re purchasing. These are smaller beans, but they work as intended for homemade vanilla extract. They were supple not dried out.I wish they would have given the weight in ounces. I would’ve ordered 2 packages.

Vanilla beans were great for the price and smelled amazing. I am using these to make vanilla extract to give out as gifts for christmas. I am looking forward to the extract that it makes. The first time I made vanilla extract the vanilla beans I used at the time were so hard I could not cut them in half. These seem much better and I was able to cut them in half which will hopefully make the extract better.

I finally decided that it was time to make my own vanilla extract. I was no longer comfortable paying what the grocery store was charging. So, I bought a bottle of my husband’s favorite ‘cheap’ whiskey, added half the package of beans to it, recapped the bottle and stuck it in the back of my cabinet. After 8 weeks, I pulled it out to take a look. The color of the liquid had significantly changed and the smell was amazing! What I Loved: Amazing fragrance: The instant you break the seal on the package you are hit with the sweet buttery vanilla aroma. Moist & Pliable pods: The beans are soft and packed with caviar – exactly what you want when making extract. Balance of quality vs. value: Organic, non-GMO packaging, plump beans – perfect for anyone serious about real vanilla. I used it in some pancake batter at the eight-week mark and it was just as good as the store bought. I decided to leave the beans in the bottle and just see how much better it can get. This means that for less than $40 usd I have just under 60 ounces if vanilla extract that will continue to get better over time. And I still have about 12 beans to use for other purposes. (Be sure to appropriately seal and store any left overs.) This means it cost me under $0.70 usd per ounce from organic Madagascar beans and whiskey from a manufacturer I trust. The cheapest I can currently find as of today for similar is $4.50 usd per ounce. Things to remember: Vanilla Beans are from a plant. No two beans are alike. The bean size and plumpness will vary. Be attentive to the grade of beans you purchase. These are Grade B beans, some will be slim or even split – That is normal. Takeaways: Whether you are crafting homemade extract, making an infusion, vanilla sugar, or enhancing the flavor of a dish, these beans are stellar! Plus, they are organic, vacuum-sealed for freshness and – dare I say – add a little luxe to your pantry without breaking the bank. I am very happy with these Beans. I am using them to make Homemade Vanilla. I started my Vanilla back in November and the Vanilla aroma is amazing! I can barely smell the Vodka already and it has only been 2 months. Good quality Beans. I was not entirely sure what to expect, but am very happy with the purchase. There was a total of 1.5oz of beans. It's a bit pricey but there was no where local to me I could purchase, so I wanted to give these a try before sourcing bulk options elsewhere if I decided that making Vanilla is something I feel is worth it. I now know, the answer is already yes. Can't wait to see how this turns out after 12 months!

The beans are decent and worked well for making extract. The aroma is good, but it’s not the best extract I’ve made. These are Grade B beans, which have lower moisture than Grade A, so some of the more volatile flavour notes are missing. That said, they’re still solid for extract as these flavours will cook off anyway. and good value if you know what you’re buying.
