This is a delicious base for a soup. I keep this on hand because it the base for multiple of my simple cream soup recipes. Super easy to use, fast, reliable and versitile. Try this: In a soup pot, cube one cup of ham (or pork or polish sausage, even holiday leftovers work) and fry in 2 Tbsp butter/oil until browned; add a diced 1/2 onion to the pan, 1 diced celery stalk and 1 diced carrot, stir and cook until the onion is translucent. Add 2 cups of water, scraping up the cooked bits from the bottom of the pot. While it is cooking, in a separate bowl, blend the knorr leek soup mix with 1 cup of milk until smooth. Add this to the pot and stir well. Add one can of strained navy beans (or any other you like). Thin with water or milk as needed or preferred, simmer until carrots are tender.

This soup is wonderful, one of my all time favorites from 40 yrs ago. Glad I found on Amazon, not in many stores. Optionally, I add lightly sauteed green onion or leek, diced beef keobasa, wonderful and fast meal.

This is an excellent addition to soups and stews.

Good in spinach dip (with fresh spinach instead of frozen)

This was really good in potato soup. Just hard to find. Worth the price.

Couldn’t find this mix in any local grocery store so this was a great find. It’s perfect for warm artichoke dip, in spinach or a substitute for ranch. Has a slight lemon flavor for a little added flavor.
